adjust it warm with the engine off...again, only 1 turn out and just snug up

Was thinking this very thing this morning, commuting on my ZRX. The extra
power and brakes sure helps when you have to duck and dodge cagers with cell
phones.

I was eyeing a 2000 ZRX in ebony the other night...pretty bike. I was
surprised at the non-aggressive seating...can you put GIVI's on them?

Hello every one.
I just changed my front sproket on my 97 KLR to a 16
tooth. What I am wondering is what the torque spec on the one bolt that
holds the sprocket is?
I just can't find it in the manual.
Thanks.

Hi Juan,
Hope you have better luck in Seattle. Next time, remember that we always
have fantastic weather in Sept/Oct and that it's a "rainy place",
especially in the winter.
Seattle is a major destination; most of the people (including myself) are
from somewhere else. There's a lot to laugh about in this town, but
pretentiousness - wherever you are, is ALWAYS fair game! Often new
residents adopt pretentiousness (localism) as an attempt to mask their
origin (at least to the other newbies). The true locals aren't so
insecure.
Re: seeing people carrying plastic bags of dogshit home is a relief to me.
A turd on the sidewalk is not traumatic, but smelling it mashed into the
carpet in your car is maddening to anyone, possibly even Missourians. When
I track dogcrap into my car, I'm definitely thinking of "kicking some ass".
It doesn't throw me for a loop at all. People have been crapping their
dogs "in front of someone elses house" for a very simple reason - they
don't want to track it into their own car. Our "scoop law" is thanks to
those inconsiderate jerks.
It's a little different M.O. than MO, but if everyplace was the same what
fun is that? I'd recommend Denny's for familiar, they won't laugh it you
ask for a cuppa joe. Starbucks is the epitome, but remember that the
Starbucks crowd is the newbies.

Harleys use a wet clutch, with multiple plates, roughly similar to a
Japanese bike (GoldWings/Valkyries being the exception)....guzzis and
beemers have dry clutches. FYI

I have 70K on my 81 twin and it shifts fine, the throw is equivalent to
a 71 VW bus with a worn linkage but that is another story. They are
getting better though, have you ridden the r100s yet, the transmission
is so smooth it almost feels japanese!

Thanks Kurt S for bringing it up and Walter R for posting the address. A
great read. So all I did was waste money when I strayed from my old pal
Mobil Uno 15-50 Auto for that young floozy Mobil 1 motorcycle. The listers
that went to Diesel oil also didn't fare well in this account but at least
they didn't spend a lot of $. The good news is that I can go back, SJ or no
SJ. At least until the federal government that's ever vigilant in my behalf
decides to do me yet another favor. I'll repost the address for those that
missed it the first time; http://www.ibmwr.org/otech/oilreport.html
