I've heard of this bootleg. What's so special about it ?
Has it got dance tracks ? or is it a REAL remix ?

Well, I personaly think that's the best remix of JMJ.
It's a piece of Trance-Ambient remix from my preferred album and in my
opinion, the author respected all the spirit of Jarre and Oxygene, what =
is not always true with the remix you can find all around (Sash, ...)
Sometime I think that Oxygene 7-13 had to be this remix and not the =
(excellent after all) album who all discovered one year ago.
I am waiting for your reaction.
Christophe Socquet.

I must agree. Practically _all_ the original Oxygene material is preserved,
and the remix is therefore not just someone's own dance music with a little
sample of something on top to call it a Jarre-Remix. This is really the
original material in a new mix.

Well, since I am myself in general not in favour of these kinds of remixes
at all, I do prefer 7-13 over the Trance remix any day. Still, the Trance is
bearable. Somebody need a copy (CDR)?

Pardon me for being a little attached to details, but, has anyone yet
mentioned that the new Millennium actually begins on January 1, 2001. Unless
someone decided that there was a year 0, the year 2000 is the last year of
this millennium.

I'm very happy with that. On January 1, 2000, there's this slight
possibility that something may go wrong with the computer systems where I
work. :-)

You may have it, as soon as I listen to the record and if I get it at
all :-))

Hmmm, sounds captivating.

Eventually if I can't find the original I might drop you a line.
Does anyone have the original Oxygene Trance remix for sale or know where
I could get it (the latter is preferrable) ?
Also I've been listening to Musique pour Supermarches from the Unique JMJ
bootleg. It has 8 parts on the CD, but the original only has 6. So I was
wondering perhaps (and I'm only speculating but this is not an unusual
pattern in Jarre's records) tracks 1,2 and the 1st portion of 3 could the
premiere partie (about 9 minutes), the second portion of track 3 stiched
with 4 could be the seconde partie while the rest would remain untouched.
How about it ?
Also I find the familiar sound of Blah Blah Cafe and the RV5 sequencing
:-)
Another thing I wanted to mention. I think the version of MF1 Jarre played
at the China Concerts was superb ! I can never imagine why it never made
it to the album at all. It's one of the best. As it been put on to record
yet ? On a bootleg I mean...

I must eat my words - I thought it was only going to have 5 tracks on it,
but no, it's got loads! As you can see from the web page, the video is the
same apart from the rap tracks are there and O13 isn't. Thankfully Eldorado
is on both the video and CD.
Darren and I are going to LOVE this box set! 12 minute Sunday

Oh and by the way, Jarre's name apears on the front cover FIRST - before TK!
This could be the best Jarre live album ever for me!
