  214. Virginia... Alderson. Got into muzzle loading about 1975 or so.  Started
  215. doing 'Vous in about 1989 with an Explorer Post... first one to be chartered
  216. by the BSA as a Historical Post... Post 1838, Naples, FL.  Wife has a little
  217. store she now takes on the circuit... Meadowsweet Trading Company. Does all
  218. sorts of "feminine smell good stuff" in the traditions of the 17oos and
  219. 1800s. www.meadowsweet.com ....

  221. Got several flinters... done sold all my cappers... Wife and I do 1700 to
  222. 1840 time period.  Enjoy portraying Highland Scots as well.  Going to Ft
  223. Erie, Canada in May for reenactment of the Road to Culloden.

  317. road the 1st of next month moving if you come thru the area the latch
  318. string on the door is on the outside----door aint never locked ---turn up
  319. mill hollow second house---watch out for the deer----super chief says
  320. there is a good roo in okla a big one about the second week in
  321. april--jurored event i thank--he wants me to sneek out of the hollow and
  322. come over and play he has 40 cricket hawks done and about 60 horns
  323. plugged and scraped --he just shipped 4 dozen to the guy in Ozona----I
  324. just finished up a neat horn similar to one in madison grants book for
  325. holding both shot and powder for the trade gun.  finished up a few
  326. underhammers and have them ready to ship---nice 54 going out to montana
  327. and a nice little 40 going to LA. been building up recievers last few
  328. weeks so i wont have to do much machining when we get moved for a few
  329. weeks ---got to get some more castings in ---waiting on sample castings
  330. for my new butplate and wrist ferrel---the molds sure came out
  331. great---got 12 barrels here i need to get turned and breached---going to
  332. order some smoothbore barrels in about a half dozen 20 gage and a couple
  333. of 12 gage --I have a 12 gage underhammer that i built for myself to
  334. turkey hunt with--It throws 1 3/4 oz of shot and is a real bumper
  335. thumper---I jug choked it and it will keep almost everything inside 30
  336. inches at 45 yds and at 25 yds keeps almost everything inside of
  337. 24"---got a pretty good scald on the choke on that one  thanking about
  338. jug choking my 28 gage northwest gun but it shoots round ball so good i
  339. dont want to affect that---

  342. area in the may june and july time span---going to move the moter home
  343. down to ark so we can go west to roo or to do a bit of a walk
  344. about---super chief wants to go back out to AZ NM area during the summer
  345. and do a bit of wondering thru the mountains---told him we could
  346. depending on how i am doing will be doing a bunch of walking and such
  347. when we get moved to try to get body back to right condition---been doing
  348. better but i thank when we get out of this humidity it will do a lot more
  349. better---

  406. I've been busy as hell lately.  I'm getting geared up to get into a
  407. position where I can semi-retire in the next 5 years.  I'm really fed up
  408. with the rat race.  It doesn't seem to get you anyplace but old and
  409. bitter.  lolol  That's why I haven't been posting much lately.

  588. 1. There have been some other pressing matters that a lot of AMM members
  589. have been dealing with.

  591. 2.  A while back we went through some real nasty email battles and I think
  592. that pushed some to quit others to be less vocal and just made it all just a
  593. little less fun for everyone.

  595. 3.  Back in about 99 when I found this group I used to have to ration my
  596. questions and put them in order of importance so  that I did not take up to
  597. much bandwidth.  There were others that seemed to be in the same boat.  The
  598. answers would often start other somehow related subjects and things went
  599. along pretty good.  Now I aint quite as stupid as I used to be, or maybe I
  600. am more stupid because I can not think of as many questions to ask.  I know
  601. sometimes you will ask a question and get no or little responce.  That may
  602. mean you have pissed everyone off and no one is talking to you (your
  603. probably french anyway).  Or more likely no one has the time or feels
  604. qualified to answer it.  A while back we had a little go around about horses
  605. but I was so slow to get posts back in I am sure that it really stopped it.

  607. It would be a benefit to all of us to get back to reading and writing email
  608. about history and survival and how good it is to sit around a midwinter fire
  609. while a man gives your 6 year old instructions on how to effectively use a
  610. knife as an ax or a plane (Thanks again Mike but let me tell you I have not
  611. been in want of kindling this winter.  He has kept me well supplied with
  612. your technics.)

  974. of portable chairs being recorded as having been part of RMFT.

  977. your desire for accuracy lies.  I've seen several who have made a
  978. wooden frame backpack rack that doubles as a sturdy seat and I=20
  979. admire them for their dual purpose but are they historical?  I'm not
  980. sure.  Pehaps someone who uses one of these might comment.
