  24. depends on what level you are listening to the album
  25. on. 
  26. here is a few ideas: (and these work for the album as
  27. a whole, not just the one song)

  29. the "Pop" interpretation:
  30. all music albums (in the states anyhow) are released
  31. on Tuesday- on Tuesday POP (music) goes the world-
  32. this is us listening to the album. think of the song
  33. being about the album, the next song "somewhere in the
  34. distance....on the bright side of the sun"- how about
  35. eventually, after we listen enough to this album, it
  36. will all make sense!  i could go on about each song,
  37. but..... it all finishes with "will we all meet again
  38. at the end of the world?"- will we listen to it again?

  40. now try this: make it "TWO's Day"
  41.  
  42. the "lovers" interpretation
  43. the lovers (jenny and johnny) meet- this is the day
  44. and the song is about- well, tis pretty
  45. straightforward with that in mind..... she comes into
  46. his heart, his world....
  47.  
  48. the psychedelic interpretation:
  49. mixing a particular fruit of a plant and a most
  50. particular very potent psychoactive liquid (here is
  51. our "two") produces a most unique experience... 
  52. this ties in with the "self" interpretation, where
  53. when he says "you" in this song, he is refering to his
  54. self, and jenny and johnny here (for the album)
  55. represent the two selves- the true nature of being and
  56. the self strapped to the karmic wheel. psychedelics
  57. have the effect of putting many in contact with the
  58. "higher" self....
  59.  
  60. the "life journey" interpretation- on tuesday is about
  61. birth, entrance into this realm of duality, hence the
  62. two- yin/yang to be real basic, and the whole album
  63. being about a journey through life.
  64.  
  65. so there are a few of my ideas. of course, i have
  66. listened to that album numbering in the thousands of
  67. times! :)
