Subject: (hats) How to Get The 2 for 1 CD

For thos new to the list......

Oglio released the Men Without Hats "Rhythm of Youth/Folk of the '80s" 2
for 1 CD _outside_ the USA in mid-February 1997. It has not been sold in
stores, mail order only. We are still trying to get permission to
release it in the USA and Canada. Still no word yet.

CMC International/EMI Records just released the companion CD in Europe
called "The Best of Men Without Hats." This CD is esentially the same thing
but with
different artwork and slightly fewer tracks. I have a copy of this CD in my
hands now. The part number is CMC8231662 in case you find a place to
special order it.

If you are _outside_ the USA or Canada I can sell you one of Oglio's
directly. Otherwise, you must find it as an import or buy it from a
friend overseas.

For those outside North America:

The CD is $15.98 US dollars + $6 US dollars shipping. I suggest a credit
card for the best exchange rate. Second best would be an international
money order made out in US Dollars.

Yes.  This is also why we don't want to go around making CDRs of Rhythm of
Youth and Folk of the Eighties.
   Oglio Records needs to sell as many of the 2fer CDs as possible.  If they
sell well:
1. They won't be deleted
2.  They could be released in US and Canada

And like I said, You can't beat the quality of the 2fer CD.   Also the
artwork is EXACTLY the same artwork as the original issue CDs.  Oglio
records made the reissues perfect, basically.

If you live in USA or Canada, european listmembers have already stocked up
on some of these just for you.  There's your friend in Europe.

Hi.  I am the guy who has the original 2 Men Without Hats videotapes.
Everyone combined their video collections a couple of years ago and these
tapes are the result.  Not a bad mailing list, eh?


Let me tell you what is on these videos exactly.

Video#1 - Men Without Hats - 2hrs
A.  Freeways TV concert (hi-fi stereo) 1 hr.
     I got a S-VHS copy of the original studio video.
B.  Videos 1/2 hour
     -- safety dance, i like, where do the boys go, pop goes the world,
moonbeam, in the 21st, hey men, sideways
C. various TV appearences and interviews 1/2 hour

Video#2 - Ivan

A.  Open Your Eyes video
B. Personal Camcorder footage of list members meeting Ivan, Ivan concert
soundcheck, Ivan concert (1st 3 songs) all hi-fi stereo.
C.  Ivan TV appearances including in studio 3 song concert on Musique Plus
(Quebec MTV)

I am so pleased that I joined this list.  I thought I was a pretty big MWH
fan.......turns out most of you guys put me to shame.  I recently sent out
an e-mail (Comments and Questions), and can not believe how many of you

frustration with trying to find MWH CDs.

    More than a year ago...we had people on this list rank their top 5
or so favorite MWH songs to listen to. I think we should try it again now
that we've been exposed to all this new material.

    Of course, mine, as well as much of your favorites, I'm sure,
change everyday. But maybe pick your five favorites as of now.

Tell whether it's a live version or studio or demo. I'll think of mine and
respond back later.
