Subject: (hats) Life After Diamond Head (Rebel Rendition)

Well, I've finally begun to create my own version of "Life After
Diamond Head" for the forthcoming MWH tribute CD.  It's still in its
infancy at this point and currently clocks in at only one-and-one-half
minutes - one full minute shorter than the finished original.
It's a lot of work building a song the way I do, but I can already
tell the results will be well worth the effort when it's complete.

What exactly is the deadline for submissions on this CD adventure?

Who else is making / recording something for it?

What songs will be on it besides mine?

i must have missed something!   What / where / when / how / why?  count
me in for a track - which are still available, what format do you want it
in, how long (no 12" dance remixes etc)... ooooo so many questions and so
little beer left.  at least i can put my drum machine collection to some
use!

sorry for the late arrival on this subject, but i must have blinked.
Maybe its me but do people use the subject fields these days to label
messages?

Me too!  I've been planning a trip to Montreal whether or not there was
going to be a show.  However, as luck would have it, I still (sigh) haven't
found a job yet so that will be put on hold until then.  But I think it
would be great to meet some of us on the list :)

i'll be keeping my fingers crossed for ya, hon!  ;-)  i will most likely be
looking into staying there for about a week...but i know that a lot of those
interested in this will have to make it a w/e thing...maybe you could find
another list member in your neck of the woods who would be interested in a
grouping of funds to make it a w/e road trip, eh?   btw: just how *IS*
montreal in september/october?

Well I finally ordered the new IVAN cd and all I can say is

WOW!

Much, Much better than sideways. I really like his new solo album and
I am so glad he got away from the grudge sideways sound.

Open you eyes and 1972 are great songs along with a few others. The
rap song pretty much sucks though and I dont know why it is even on
the album.

I know alot of folks really didn't like the new IVAN album. I guess
it is a little more techno/dance added into it. I use to listen to
alot of techno/trance music also so maybe that is why I like it. I
am so glad though that he changed the style of his music from his
last album (Sideways)

If you have not gotten it yet I would recommend getting it. I bought
mine from www.cdnow.com

It would be cool if he redid safety dance to his new electronic style
sounding music. I love the safety dance version that Ivan did on
bootleg 8 - I just wish we had a better recording of it.

BTW I have alot more bootlegs left if anybody wants them. I was
getting sick of making one or two at a time so I went ahead and made
like 10 of each of them so I can just mail them out. If anybody wants
anymore of the bootlegs let me know. My web page can be found at

I figure this will be in intrest to thos that like the 80s and are
looking for rare videos.

For those that are intrested I have a
Video FTP server that I run. These are Music Videos recorded
Of my Dishnetwork system from M2 and then converted to MPEG video
format.

I have lots of 80s music videos are are hard to find.

Be warned though that these files run from 25-30 megs per video so it
might be kind of painfull to download if you only have a modem
connection (you can always cue them to download right before you go
to bed :)

If you want to get on to it Use a FTP client.
The IP address is 207.201.68.196
and Make sure you use port 1234 (port 21 is the default for ftp
sites)

Username = music
password = video

There are some really good 80s music videos like Haircut 100 and the
