Subject: (hats) 2-fer
Hello all,
Many lucky individuals recently wrote:

Oh, man, you guys are driving me crazy with anticipation! I just
recently availed Laura of her 2-fer service and am eagerly watching the
mailbox. I don't know about you guys, but for me ROY on CD is a kind of
holy grail that, after all these years, finally seems within reach. Oh,
man!
Oh, one more thing--
Tom Norman wrote:

If you are referring to my earlier comment about the 2-fer no longer
appearing in the on-line Oglio catalog (and if you are not referring to
this, please disregard): My statement was only partially correct; I
subsequently learned from others on the list that it is merely
unavailable to U.S. and Canada.
Take care everyone!

howdy hatters:)
yes nathan, turntables have a nasty habit of being calibrated to play
records at a slightly higher pitch...i remember when i was about 10-11, i
used to cram a 1/2" piece of red rubber eraser behind the sliding switch of
my trusty ole' Soundesign (one of those funky turntable/raadio combos in the
plastic `wood-like to match mommy's hideous buffet'
...um...cubes....*shudder* i have since graduated to a Marantz system,
thanks:) the eraser would apply enough pressure to the switch as to slow
down the player to the correct pitch....the one deviation to my current
set-up is a technics tunrtable with modulating pitch-control knob, so i can
custom tune things for dubbing n' such:)
now some of those rubber trees can breathe a bit easier, eh? ;)
ttyl,
Charlotte

Dear trip-leaders,
I'm looking into whether or not you've decided when the date is going to
be for the Hats Concert in June. I'd also like to know any info on ticket
pricing and any other charges I might not be aware of.
I'm asking now becaus I stoppes reading a few weeks ago when whatever we
were arguing about escalated to the point people were thinking about dropping
off the list, thus causing me to miss any updates.
Thanks.

Does anyone know if there is a studio version of "Heaven" available
somewhere? (MP3 format, even?) I've only heard the live version on the
second bootleg.
Thanks
Steve

Subject: (hats) Laura you're a lifesaver
Hello all,
Just another in the list of public "thank you's" to Laura. Just got my
2-fer in the mail today. It is a good day indeed!
Intrigued by a comment made earlier regarding the superior sound quality
of the 2-fer due to digital remastering, I promptly loaded in my
Collection CD and set it to I Like (I love the rising drum beat at the
beginning bursting into an intoxicating rhythm), then did the same with
the 2-fer. Wow! The Collection version is indeed, in comparison,
rather tinny and the bass is hesitant at best.
Laura-san, makoto ni arigatou gozaimashita. Jaa, mata ne!
