Hey all,

Here's a funny question for you. I know that a new album is being made at
the moment and obviously that takes time, but what I want to know is this:
what does Ivan do all day? I'm serious. Maybe the good list members in
Canada can help. Other music that we never get to hear about? Is he ever on
TV / radio in any shape or form, other than when there is an MWH record or
The Spell?

Stefan has the studio and presumably has regular-ish employment as an
engineer for whatever bands choose to book there (is that right?), but what
exactly does Ivan do all the time? Or did The Safety Dance make enough money
for him never to need to get out of bed ever again?

Just curious!

Good question!  Ivan is fairly invisible, even to us Canadians!  But
I've seen a couple interviews where he's provided at least some clues.
Basically he practices piano and writes music.  In fact he plays so much
that he is dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome.

In another interview he says he socializes with other artist such as
Mitsou (singer/songwriter) and Audrey Lord (poet).  That was a decade
ago, though, so who know who he hangs around with these days!  He has
also been known to take various courses ranging from cooking to
microbiotics.

But whether he checks out the local BlockBusters on the weekend is
anybody's guess!

It is possible, however, that he had three friends sleep on his kitchen
floor once, eating lots of hot chicken, I believe.  (purely speculation
on my part, though)  :-)

That would have been a loooong time ago, 'cos I
believe Ivan has been a vegetarian since PGTW days...

Is there something sad about the Alberta Live boot or is it just me.....when i hear the songs Freeways (beginning), Eurotheme (end), Things in My Life (beginning and end where he says Things in my life), I like (beginning and end), editions of you (beginning).....

There is this incredibly tired feeling.......I feel like I've been on tour with them sleeping in crowded buses and dingy spots getting little sleep and living in a sort of haze......i'm not poetic at all, so I'm not trying to sound all deep........but i always hear this emotion......

Anybody else?

Ivan once said in an interview that he was born on
John Lennon's Birthday. Well Lennon's birthday is
today (a happy birthday to him.) Also a happy birthday
to Miguel de Cervantes, the author of Don Quixote, he
turns 454 years old today (gettin' up there Miguel)
and a congrats to Leif Ericson who landed in Vinland
about a millenium and one year ago today (1000 AD),
and 125 years ago today, the first two way telephone
conversation took place (just look what that lead to!)

Reults:

2 Rastafarians felt slightly better. One grinned a little as his
favourite Canadian band no longer reminded him of that silly sign he
once saw at a night club.  The other never liked traffic signs anyway.

A bloke living in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan was able to detect a 0.5%
reduction in negativism on or around the 14th of November, 1991.  It was
fairly short lived, however, lasting some 3.9 seconds.

293,567 Men Without Hats fans from around the world became ill,
saddened, disillusioned, depressed, angry, violent (some took to the
streets, broke store front windows, etc.)  310 were reported to become
suicidal (2 were successful).

Anybody know if the Logo will return to the new album?
