Because they got home and checked the books? Yes, I
was able to do that.

Penguin Putnam publishes Berkley, which was the
imprint for the first Dread Empire trilogy, but they
don't have anything like the Baen free library. Too
bad, really. I guess this may lead us to once again
dream of a time when all of Mr. Cook's works are
available on Print on Demand or in an e-book format.

response to a question about TorCon 2003, he mentioned
that he'd like to attend, but had health concerns.

This is a strictly BC question, and may be too involved for what you said
you'd like to ask Glen, particularly if you want to keep it brief, so I
won't be too fussed if you leave it out. Butà

In 'She is the Darkness' Croaker at one stage criticizes Murgen for his
writing style - says he is too involved with Sari and his own concerns,
rather than giving the big picture. I happen to think that 'She is the
Darkness' is one of the best books in the series precisely because of the
style - I was most impressed by the way he was able to move backwards and
forwards, and in the way he manages the description of the one night when
Shadowgate is opened and Soulcatcher makes her takeover bid. But was Glen
dissatisfied himself with the style of the book when he wrote this, and did
he turn to a new narrator in Water Sleeps and back to the old style of
interweaving chapters partly because of this, or just because that's where
the narrative took him?
