  23. I've just finished reading _The White Rose_ after a friend recommend
  24. The Black Company series to me, and I'm unsure what I should read next.

  26. I've got a copy of _The Silver Spike_, but _Shadow Games_ seems to
  27. pick up where the third chronicle left off.  What gives?  (Why isn't
  28. Silver Spike the fourth chronicle?)
  29.  
  30. Probably a common question, but I didn't want to look through the list
  31. archive too extensively because the first thing I happened to glance at
  32. was a terrible spoiler... *groan*

  132. They *almost* interact. You get to see a few of the same scenes from
  133. different perspectives and both groups hit some of the same tourist
  134. attractions.

  136. The short answer is it doesn't matter which book gets read first.

  138. I'd make a case for saving the Silver Spike for second, since it does
  139. have some impact on the other. If I remember correctly I read them
  140. in publication order, but I've sense gone back several time and read
  141. them both way, and even once read the at the same time (chapter
  142. of one, chapter of the other, repeat).

  164. In the order of publishing: "Shadow Games", "Silver Spike", "Dreams of
  165. Steel". You wouldn't read "An Ill Fate Marshalling" before "Reap the East
  166. Wind", would you?
