Here's gravijul, from the source.
gravijul { ; generalized r^(-2) by Mark "Bud" Christenson 1/25/98

z = pixel:
w = fn1(z)

Looks to me like none of them should work; you don't do anything in
the iteration part! Also, you are assigning to "pixel", which I don't
think is going to do anything meaningful.

This formula has no iteration part, only an initialization part.
Since nothing will be iterated, you will get a constant-color screen
with outside = iter

Same thing here.

These formulas have no iteration part either, but they also don't have
the : which separates the initialization from the iteration. Whatever
you're getting from fractint is either undefined behavior or a bug,
depending on your viewpoint.

Here are Gravijul and the Herman Ring formula.
They were both posted within the last couple of
weeks. Paul Derbyshire wrote a piece of historical interest
about finding the Herman ring. There is an archive if you want
to read the rest of it.

Dear Firstname Lastname....
I believe you forwarded Paul's message without editing it....in which case
the > character gets inserted before every line of his formulas and pars.
This can be avoided by copying his formula and pasting it into a new email
to the list. If that doesn't work, maybe Paul could send his stuff for
posting to me as it's easier for me to do the cut and paste job than edit a
long formula. And thanks to Paul for another winner

Subject: (fractint) ADDGIFS Program
I just uploaded a program I wrote to the alt.binaries.pictures.fractals
newsgroup. The program is nice for overlaying fractals, the result
looking much like some of the PHC fractals created with Fractint. If
anyone does not have access to the newsgroup and would like to try the
program, I'd be glad to email a uuencoded copy to them. What follows
is the introductory message that I posted to the newsgroup:
Part (1/1) of this message contains ADDGIS.ZIP in uuencoded
format. This will pkunzip into the files ADDGIFS.EXE and
README.1ST.
ADDGIFS is a combination of three of my prior programs,
GIFS2PNG, GIFS2JPG and GIFS2BMP into one program with
a nice, very easy to use interactive interface. The
program combines two 256-color GIF files of the same
resolution and outputs a 24-bit PNG, JPEG or BMP file.
The GIF files remain unchanged.
The program is FREEWARE.
Enjoy!

Very nice images! My favorite is "Please!" too. Your comment about it
amused me.
Bud,
Thanks for your kind words. I worked some more with gravijul. Here are
four more pars.
Judging from the name you gave to your latest post, you must have quite
a few pars!!!
Would you please post some more? Thanks,
Gedeon

Subject: (fractint) january wizzle pars
IMHO january was a fantastic month when it came to fractals, pars and
formulas. I'm offering this far too long list of pars....made with
everyone's formulas....which I just loved. I had a wonderful time with all
of the formulas posted during the month....
I've taken the liberty of changing the formula file name to *.frm I picked
that trick up from bud and it seems to work well for me...and I'm sure we
all named our files with some clever..but different name.
I tried to select a variety of images and those which used my newer color
maps. If you have trouble with a formula please email me direct and i'll
try to find it for you.
