On my Windows 95 System it produced an animated girl who proceded to
remove her dress.
Then a message pops up telling you about the company that produced the
animation.
Basicly it's an add. And probably should not have been sent to this list.

It happened to me last night, from my ester account. Will the last

as you leave?
Janet, how many emails from us can you juggle?
Thank you,
Jay
Here is what I tried to post. Let us see if it gets through. I'm sending
to
the list and gumbycat.
================================
Hi all,
I have been informed that this is not what snowmen look like!
But what do I know about snowmen, here in sunny San Diego!!
Well, Christmas has come and gone and as usual with us
all, the snowman has gotten fatter.
SnowMan400 { ; Snowman 400 Jay Hill 1997
reset=1960 type=mandel center-mag=-3.66837/0/9.152759/0.9657/90

UcwUcwUbwTbw<90>11w00w00u<26>004zzz000000000AwKAvK

Notice how changing the invert parameter from -3.5 to -4.0
changes the relative distribution of snow between the upper
body and the butt!

I'm doing ok so far. Perhaps we should take a vote on whether Tim should be

I have no idea. While the intention is quite probably innocuous and/or
humorous, ( or perhaps simply an animated "card"), I do not know Guy Marsen
well enough to open any executable from him. There is only one person from
who I would open an executable, and even then I run it through MacAfee first.
And for Guy Marsen...don't take the above as a flame. I've seen enough in
the way of viruses coming from idiots infecting U/Md computers to preclude
opening any .exe or .bat file and so on. I'm having enough problems with
this 'puter now...

Jay,
That's exactly what snowmen like in New England, where it snows. The
difference between 350 and 400 is kind of subtle, tho. But can you do a carrot
nose :) BTW, Does anyone know what the deal with that 2.5 MB Merry X-Mas
attachment is -- I've gotten kind of wary about that sort of thing? If it's
something nice, I'd download it, tho. Peter

I'm not surprised folks are having difficulty with emails these days. We
got a message at w*rk that some bozo was sending out a 10MB
attachement!!!!! He tangled our whole company's email system.
Personally I'd like to know prior to receiving ANY attachment over 1MB.
Some folks don't seem to realize, but sending a large attachment can crash
an email account if the attachment is larger than the space allocated by
the email provider.....usually 1MB. That used to happen regularly to me and
I now am "crash proof" up to 3MB (by paying extra). Also, my provider seems
to have started filtering any attachments over 1MB. I didn't receive the
.exe file (thanks to the filter)......and thanks but no thanks.

Rich....
Email probs must be rampant. I tried to send an email from your
website....no go....but I found your boxes rather confusing. Please credit
"my" Christmas Ornament to Jill Lawson....all I did was add a seasonal

Hi fractinters,
I received a file this morning which is supposed to be mailed to the list
under my name, this is not the case. The joke is not bad, but I see, I must
ask my system-administrator if somebody of our students knows my password to
enter te email server! I changed the password anyway!
Merry xmas and a happy 1998,

Subject: (fractint) Contest Winners
I have been having some difficulties with my computer (and time)...
But it seems to be working now. Congratulations to all the contestants
and especially to the winners!
I was really pleased with the fun spirit of the contest and with all the
help and participation.
I was a little suprised that none of the "avant guarde" images made the
top ten, but I guess everyone was looking more or less for the most
fractally fractal! However I would like to point out that at the outset
the intent of the contest was to see how varied the images from a single
formula could actually be... remember the copyright discussion?
Aaaannnnyyyway, it was great fun. thanks again to all who were involved,
and to Paul for doing the tallying, and Jay for the "KIT". Great work
people!
Now I guess I have to get to work on that trophy...
