I love that album! Joe Meek actually wrote "Telstar", didn't he? And I
think it was a top 40 record, at least in the UK....

Does anyone know of a mailinglist similar to this where intelligent
people like yourself discuss old movies? My main interest is in the
early science fiction films. But I also enjoy drama horror and film
noir. And off course old cartoons. like a mailinglist for Video
Watchdog readers or something?

Subject: (exotica) anonymous emails
I have been recieving anonymous emails (yup that is apparently
possible) from someone calling himself Hahaha. He is a listmember and I
would like to get his/her emailaddress.
Apparently he doesnt like me at all, and maybe he has his reasons
because i havent always been the gentleman that one is supposed to be
on such list as this. As an excuse to my sometimes unsophisticated
manners and strange emails I can say that I have lived under a severe
stress for several years. I know what I fight against, and i am not
scared, though they apparently know a lot more than I do of how to
control people. I have been extremely misled by people but I will
continue to deconstruct the evil side in me.
I know I am right cause I have communicated with angels.
sometimes crazy people owe more than they get credit for.

I've been getting e-mails from someone with that name, whose email is
hahaha@sexyfun. (not sure what - probably .com or .net) - I have a
message filter that I've been using to get rid of these (I don't know if
they're still being sent - they get filtered out automatically and
discarded by my mail program now), as they all appear to link to porn
sites. Not sure who this character is, but it's interesting to know
that it may be from this list - Laszlo, are you out there?
You can view complete headers for e-mail messages, which will show you
how your mail is being routed, and where it supposedly originates.
Depending on which browser you're using, you can check the help file for
your browser, and it should show you how to view the full header. If
not, there's a really good anti-spam site which explains it all (yeah,
ask me if I can find the address right now - not sure where it is, but
if anyone else knows, please post the address. I remember seeing
Laszlo's name as a signatory on it)

The best place for this is actually the Mobius Home Video Forum
(http://www.mhvf.net/) which started when TV Guide pulled the plug on the
Video Watchdog site that Tim Lucas hosted. It has a much higher level of
conversation than the newsgroups and most mailing lists tend to be fairly
specialized. Plus it's all on the Web so your email box isn't swamped.
