Subject: (dr350) DR350SE Gearing
I'm running a 14 front and a 45 rear sprockets on my 1995 DR350SE. I just
got back from Moab Utah where I rode the White Rim Trail, Slick Rock Trail
and a 90 mile ride that included Onion Creek-Thompson Canyon-La Salle Mt.
loop-Sand Flats Rd. Gearing was perfect for the off road adventures and I
could still cruse at 60 mph on the highway to get there.

I left the 14 front alone & changed to a 48 rear on my 95 SE. I'm really
happy with it. At hiway speed top gear, 1K rpm = 10mph (70mph=7K rpm,
etc..). Low end in first is great for just tractoring up really steep
hills. I did not need a new chain to do this.

I have a new graphic of the speed-rpm in this Bike in
http://www.ctv.es/USERS/pasamo/velocidad.htm
. (with the speedometer
and rpm indicator, this graphic is very exact, +-5 km/h) (1 mille =3D1.6
km/h). With the programs of the Download section, you can calculate the
appropriate gear (original spanish DR is 15-43) for each situation
(highway, off-road, on road...) and you can see the results of your chang=
es.
Bye (and, other time, sorry for my english)
PD: there are new sections: travel on the world with DR350 (with pics)
http://www.ctv.es/USERS/pasamo/aventuras.htm
and new DR=B4s in http://www.ctv.es/USERS/pasamo/masdrs.htm
bye.

And another two questions:
the clearance between Wiseco piston (80 mm) and cylinder should be
0,05 mm, shouldn`t it?
do you ever have polished valves and inlet channels?
