  32.  Hi all, I hope you all have a nice ride planned for this long weekend. =
  33. What I need to know is were is the oil strainer located and what is the =
  34. best way to go about removing and cleaning it? I know that is in one of =
  35. the oil lines I'm just not sure which one and what fitting to remove.
  36.  I have a ride with a couple of friends this weekend and would like to =
  37. clean it when I change the oil. I cant wait to try out my new tire's =
  38. (Dunlop K 139 and D 606) I've been riding for three years on the stock =
  39. tires and were we ride (northern Mich.) is really loose, deep sand and =
  40. black mud. So the new tires should be a god sent. The DNR trail we are =
  41. going to ride has 15 loops for a total of 110 miles it should be a great =
  42. day.

  123. AGO. THE SCREEN IS PART OF THE FITTING THAT SCREWS INTO THE CENTER DOWNTUBE
  124. OF THE FRAME(FRONT). THERE IS A HOSE THAT GOES THERE. TAKE THE HOSE CLAMP
  125. LOOSE AND REMOVE THE HOSE. (AFTER DRAINING YOUR OIL) THEN TAKE A SOCKET OR
  126. WRENCH AND TAKE THE FITTING OUT (IT HAS A HEX ON IT). THE SCREEN IS PART OF
  127. THE FITTING. DONT BE SUPRISED TO SEE A FEW SMALL METAL CHIPS OR DEBRIS,
  128. THATS JUST LEFTOVER FROM WHEN THE BIKE WAS MADE AND THATS WHY THE SCREEN IS
  129. THERE. WHEN THEY HAVE THE OIL TANK AS PART OF THE FRAME THERE IS NO WAY TO
  130. GET IT ALL OUT WHEN IT IS MANUFACTURED SO THEY PUT A SCREEN IN THERE TO KEEP
  131. THAT STUFF FROM GETTING TO THE MOTOR. I HOPE THIS HELPS, GOOD LUCK AND HAVE

  156.    It's easier to do if you remove the skid plate first, which is just held
  157. on with 4 easily removed bolts.
