Hi folks,
This is definitely a non CS post!!!
ITRU is forming a beautiful Cup & Handle......those trying to get a grasp on
this pattern may want to take a look at it.

C&H patterns can form for a variety of reasons. I agree,
this one is definitely not forming for any viable CANSLIM
reasons. Market cap of 6.4 billion on less than 2 million in
annual sales !!! RS of 14, and no improvement in its losses
!!! And you can't even argue accelerating revenues, with the
latest quarter showing a whopping $690,000 in sales. Gee,
I'm impressed (at the excess valuation investors are willing
to give it, that is). One more example of froth, maybe?

Hi All,
Interesting base here. Its looks like an "ascending base" similar to the
base made by AOL in the first 2 months of 1999. Very powerful base structure
according to O'neil disciples Kacher and Morales. Here's the quote from
Tradehard.
Kacher: That's a really good question. You can take Qualcomm in this market
cycle or you could take AOL in the last market cycle earlier in 1999. When
the market corrects you have all of these market indices going lower and
lower, but these really strong stocks resist the tendency to go lower. So
what happens is they do correct a little bit, but then they're also the
first to spring back up when the market has a good day. What happens is that
they tend to form what we call ascending bases, where the stock seems to
want to get dragged down but doesn't. It resists, and actually goes higher
and higher by a little bit during the period that the market's actually
going lower. Now when the market finally turns around and gets that 1%
confirmation day, these stocks, with the weight of the market off, just
spring right on out of there.
Morales: The ascending base is telling you that they want to go higher. To
give you an example of two of them, if you look at the chart patterns of AOL
and Schwab (SCH) between January 1999 and the end of February 1999, they
both made the same type of pattern. Neither made a classic O'Neil base but
they made an ascending pattern. It's almost like you took a base and tilted
it up slightly. AOL and Schwab both formed these ascending bases. And when
they break out of the top of these ascending bases, we will be buying these
stocks, and generally with success. That is a very powerful pattern. The
stock is telling you that the weight of the market is trying to hold the
stock down, but the stock still wants to keep creeping slightly upward.
Good Trading,
DCSquires

Hi Tom,
Froth....definitely!! However, I am also wondering about their
technology.....the market clearly sees something here, which is evident by
the strong technical pattern after a stiff sell-off. As for me, this is the
type of pattern I have a hard time resisting regardless of the fundies.
Good Trading

As long as we are giving examples of great c&H's, look at
GZMO a biotech with no earnings and no revenues and a
beautiful breakout last week. The bottom of the cup is
perhaps a little too deep but since it was such an
inexpensive stock subject to high volatility, it's
understandable. The left and right sides f the cup were at
10 3/4. Each up draft showed good increase in volume and
the volume dried up at the bottom of the cup and the bottom
of the handle.

Subject: [CANSLIM] Nothing Much New from WON on CNBC
Very few questions. Same WON answers. Very basic.
Only thing sort of "new", is that someone asked "How does one buy and not
get stopped out with the extreme volatility of some of these stocks?". WON
answered, "take the volatility into account and make sure you don't chase
them". My sense is that he was saying if the stock is volatile or in a
volatile sector, enforce your self discipline and be sure you catch it that
much closer to the pivot point. He did mention that semiconductors, for
example, had twice the volatility of the market average.
He did mention that the 7 managers who manage IBD's corporate portfolio
were up over 200% in 1998 and 300% in 1999. Therefore he had no particular
plans to take IBD and DG public because they do not need the capital.
