  129. I pass it on because of its analysis regarding "M" for the NASDAQ, not =
  130. for the stock picks contained herein. FLEX is definitely not a CANSLIM =
  131. stock but NVDA is puzzling. the CANSLIM Evaluator gives it very strong =
  132. marks for "C" and "A" and investors.com gives the EPS at 99 and SMR as =

  178.
  179.
  180.                         =20
  181.
  182.                         The market was up this past week for the first =
  183. time in several months. All the major averages posted solid gains, =
  184. taking investors by surprise. Some attributed this past week's =
  185. performance to expectations of an interest rate cut when the FED meets =
  186. on Wednesday. This seems highly unlikely, as 11 interest rate cuts last =
  187. year didn't work.=20
  188.
  189.                         Others attributed this week's performance to the =
  190. absence of sellers. Overseas investors have been liquidating US equities =
  191. for months, and they seem to have run out of stock to sell. Short =
  192. sellers were conspicuous in their absence. They're probably all buying =
  193. new mansions in the Hamptons and jetting around the world enjoying the =
  194. billions in profits they have accumulated in the past 2 1/2 years. Wall =
  195. Street pays off when you're right.=20
  196.
  197.                         Despite the typical August seasonal lack of =
  198. interest and pervasive doom and gloom, this chart of the NASDAQ =
  199. Composite suggests we may be in for a summer relief rally.=20
  200.
  201.                         This past week the NASDAQ broke up its' =
  202. downtrend line (shown in red) for the first time since the sell off =
  203. steepened in mid May, leading to three months of bloodletting on all the =
  204. major indexes.=20
  205.
  206.                         In addition, the NASDAQ has recently put in a =
  207. double bottom. The second bottom was slightly higher than the first. =
  208. Technicians will tell you this is a bullish indicator in the short term. =
  209.
  210.
  211.                         As long as the NASDAQ stays above the red line, =
  212. there is a possibility of temporary rebound into the 1450 area. Of =
  213. course, this will not change the long term downtrend. We believe the =
  214. trend will continue until October or November, when a new, very weak, =
  215. and very young Bull will be born.=20
  216.
  217.                         Here are a couple of oversold trading ideas =
  218. which may yield a short term profit if the market puts in a relief =
  219. rally. This scenario may not play out, so use a stop loss as an =
  220. insurance policy against a new leg down.=20
  221.                            Flextronics (NASDAQ: FLEX) =20
  222.
  223.
  224.                         =20
  225.
  226.                         Flextronics is probably the largest outsourced =
  227. off shore manufacturer of electronic devices. OEM (Original Equipment =
  228. Manufacturers) outsource their production to this company.=20
  229.
  230.                         Formerly a profit powerhouse, the company's =
  231. fortunes have declined along with the entire technology industry, and =
  232. they are losing money at this point in time. However, the value is =
  233. compelling at this level.=20
  234.
  235.                         Annual sales run about $13 billion. At this =
  236. price, the company is trading with a $4.2 billion market cap, or about =
  237. 1/3 of sales. It is also trading at less than book value (liquidation =
  238. value), which is about $8.62 per share.=20
  239.
  240.                         The chart suggests a slight uptrend started in =
  241. late June when the stock hit it's all time low of $6. If the market =
  242. improves, this one may want to go back an fill the gap from early June, =
  243. suggesting a good target price might be $12.=20
  244.
  245.                         However, stay light on your feet. The company's =
  246. fortunes are declining. A stop loss based on your risk tolerance is =
  247. highly recommended.=20
  248.                            Nvidia Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) =20

  252.                          =20
  253.
  254.                         Here's a stock traders have taken out to the =
  255. woodshed and beaten to death. The company designs and manufactures 3-D =
  256. graphics processors and graphics processing units.=20
  257.
  258.                         The company has a book value of $5.72, $5.45 per =
  259. share in cash, and at current levels trades with a PE ratio of about 7. =
  260. This company had an adequate June quarter, but announced the future =
  261. looked bleak. =20
  262.
  263.                         In favorable market conditions this stock could =
  264. rebound into the middle of the blue bands. This shows the average price =
  265. since the stock began it current leg down, toppling from $24 to just =
  266. above $9 in less than a month.=20
  267.
  268.                         Most of the analyst community downgraded this =
  269. stock once it reached the $9 level, which is a bullish sign as far as we =
  270. are concerned.=20
  271.
  272.                         Again, if you decide to roll the dice, a stop =
