The difference maybe that I am on Word 2000 (but Excel 97). When I copy  the
screen starting with AAS it automatically pastes as a nice, clean table in
Word. When I try to grab the whole table (including the headings) it is
unusable. I use Word 97  at the office and will try experiment with it over
the next couple of days.

Oh my gosh, I just followed those directions and it worked!!!!!

I did a leader's screen with  canslims within 4% of a 52 week high, and now
I have a spreadsheet with 107 symbols in a nice spreadsheet.  I have Office
2000.

If you'd like, just let me know and I can send you a spreadsheet today if
you're wanting to do some dd for tomorrow.  Just let me know what you want
in the spreadsheet.

This is huge.......now I wonder how close this list is to a DGO list that I
wonder if can be generated.........an all inclusive world of considerable
stocks, say, like all 75 75 DBB or better, within 5% of a 52 week high,
above a certain volume (maybe 80,000-100,000 share volume)............

Norman et al,

Here is another method which eliminates the Word step.

1.    Highlight the table and Copy to the clipboard.
2.    Paste into Excel using the normal paste function.
3.    Highlight column A. Select Format/Cells (from the toolbar). Select the
Alignment Tab. Click on the boxes next to Wrap Text and Merge Cells until
both boxes are clear. Click O.K.
4.    Delete columns D - I and any rows above the first stock symbol. (i.e.
symbol AAS should be in cell A1).
5.    In cell B1 put the formula +A1 and copy it down the full length of
what is in column A. (Note that some rows will look empty due to the
background color but they actually have data in them).
6.    Select the length of formulas in column B that was just created and
copy to the clipboard.
7.    Using Paste Special, select Values and paste into column C. Delete
columns A & B.
8.    Sort column C so that all the symbols are together and delete the rows
with 0's in them.

You now should have a usable symbol list that can be imported into DGO.

Jay,

Another Office 2000 trick I suspect.  I will try these at work tomorrow.  I
may have to load 2000 here at home.  By the way, I am creating portfolios at
clearstation.com with these screens.  In fact I create a portfolio with all
the good stock lists I come across so I can view them in bulk.  Of course I
have to use investors.com or stockcharts.com charting functions for a good
chart.
