  52. Concur Tim.  When I lived for four years on the Canadian border
  53. (Upper Peninsula Michigan), I owned one of the largest houses I
  54. have ever had, and heated it entirely with electric baseboard
  55. heaters. Sure, I had three fireplaces but they were more a
  56. secondary heat source and for atmosphere.  Why electricity??
  57. Because it was hydro generated from the locks at Sault Ste.
  58. Marie.  Cheapest electricity I have ever had, and I have lived
  59. all over.  And heating a big house in the winter there took a lot
  60. of heat.

  62. And as bad as we may think we have it with energy costs, the
  63. price we pay is very cheap compared to most advanced economies.

  79. through the Pac NW that were shot down by congress (what? selling
  80. Frenchie

  83. solved their problems for good (there is an incredible surplus of

  85. power in NE Canada, with new generating facilities coming on line

  87. year to export this surplus to the NE US). Betcha those plans are

  170. the company does, but the QP numbers are very solid, growth and 
  171. ROE are good - CHBS, seemed to break out of a brief

  230. "Retail/Apparel-Shoe" company, I would be hesitant to buy until
  231. after Q4 earnings are reported (expected April 5 or so).  With
  232. the state of the economy, retailers is not an encouraging sector.
  233. I also note that they must report 62 cents for Q4 (ending Feb) in
  234. order to meet analyst's forecasts for the full year. That would
  235. be their second best qtr, possible since Q3 was their best ever
  236. at 69 cents. But Dec already proved to be a tough month for most
  237. retailers, and Jan and Feb may be no better.
