  72. Got the new (Oct 3 - 9) issue of TV guide today.  For the 2nd episode it says
  73. "As Buffy tries to make amends with her mom and the gang, a flock of zombies
  74. pops up in Sunnydale.  And when they crash her welcome-home party, Buff gets a
  75. chance to prove to her loved ones that she won't let them down again."

  77. I guess this explains the promo when they come crashing in the front window.
  78. I assume zombies don't have to be invited in.

  249. Yes Jess!  (Hee-hee.)  They are different!  And, yeah, Angel may not have been
  250. such a wonderful gut back in his day, but how many of us are?  I don't think
  251. that condemns him to hell, now does it?  
  252. Also, I know a bunch of you Xander fans hate Angel.  I personally don't get
  253. that.  I love Angel and even though him and Xander "have their differences", I
  254. don't dislike Xander.  I like Xander a lot.  I hardly ever agree with him, but
  255. hey,he's a kid...he's gonna say some stupid stuff.  On that note, about some
  256. of the things Xander says and does, well, we can't REALLY hold him accountable
  257. for all of that...you know, because of hormones, peer presure, stress of being
  258. a teenager.  So, in that way, he's sort of like Angel.  
  259. I know Xander fans will tell me I can't compare teenage hormones with cold
  260. blooded murder, BUT, I'm just trying to make a connection that (hopefully)
  261. everyone can agree with.

  382. After months of reruns we finally have a new season and new episode,
  383. which means lots of new keeper possibilities!!  If you see something that
  384. you like in an episode, you should try to be the keeper of it.
  385.  
  386. "Keeping" is a way of showing your love for the show and your favorite
  387. characters, places and quotes.  Some sites divide the claims into Keepers
  388. and Guardians... Keepers keep tangible items that you could actually touch.
  389. Guardians guard things like attitudes, expressions or experiences.
  390.  
  391. When you are the keeper or guardian of an item you have claimed it and
  392. can add it to the signature line of your e-mails.  Claims are made on
  393. everything from Xander's ho-hos to Cordelia's snobbiness, from
  394. Angel's penetrating gaze to Buffy's "issues," from Kendra's "Mr. Pointy"
  395. to Giles' coats and ties.

  397. The keeper sites get flooded with requests the second after a new episode

  427. I just finished watching Anne (I'm one of those lucky Canadians) and I just
  428. wanted to say that I thought it was a great opener to the season. Buffy's
  429. got a great hair colour, Giles has new glasses, I love Willow's new do (see,
  430. when you say "no spoilers" you've got to talk about superficial things <G>)
  431. and overall it was a lot of fun, I thought. Although, the theme song is a
  432. little different, and I was partial to the original version. The opening
  433. credits have changed, too, but they are very cool.
  434. I laughed out loud, I gasped in horror; I can't remember the last time I
  435. looked forward to something with this kind of anticipation! And it paid off. ;-)

  448. Yep, it's me again.  Here's my weekly account of the new Buffy episode.

  453. Well, this is my fifth episode I've done, and a new season.  Yes, I'm
  454. still trying to improve the quality of my messages, but I'm also trying to
  455. send them out ASAP after the ep airs.  If you have any questions about my
  456. message, or specific spoiler questions, please feel free to contact me on

  459. Now, on with the show...

  476.     "Anne", Episode 1, Season 3
  477.  
  478. The first scene opens on a graveyard, focusing on a grave.  The camera
  479. lowers to the freshly moved dirt, and a hand reaches out.  The hand is
  480. quickly followed by a body, as a new vampire rises.  The vampire is
  481. greeted by Willow, Oz, and Xander as they try unsuccessfully to stake it.
  482. Oz throws a stake at the escaping vampire, but can't throw and it hits the
  483. ground in front of him.  They talk about Buffy, and the approaching first
  484. day of school tomorrow.  Willow ends the scene saying that she wishes she
  485. knew were Buffy is.
  486.  
  487. Buffy stands on a beach, staring out over the ocean.  Angel arrives and
  488. puts his hands around her waist, saying "I'll never leave, even if you
  489. kill me.".  Buffy wakes up from her nightmare, and looks out the window.
  490. The view is a trouble part of a city, with a police car racing by.
  491.  
  492. THEME SONG - All new, the best so far!  Seth Green (Oz) has been added to
  493. the list of regular characters.
  494.  
  495. COMMERCIAL
  496.  
  497. Buffy is waitrising in a cafe, where she sees a young couple.  The young
  498. girl asks if she knows Buffy, but Buffy says no.  She leaves the cafe
  499. saying that she's not feeling well.
  500.  
  501. The scene switches to the Sunnydale Library, where it's full with new
  502. students.  Giles and Willow talk about their unsuccessful vampire hunting,
  503. and not getting killed.  Willow meets Cordillia, and they talk about the
  504. summer.  Cordillia rants on about Xander, worried that he forgot about her
  505. and doesn't like her any more.  She sees Oz in the school, and asks what's
  506. he's doing there.  He didn't graduate last summer, and skipped summer
  507. school to be with her.  They run into Xander, who rants on about how
  508. Cordillia must have forgotten about him, and doesn't like him anymore.
  509.  
  510. They football jock (the guy Xander had the conversation with last year) is
  511. talking about football to another guy, casually commenting that they might
  512. win this year if they don't get so many mysterious deaths again.  Xander
  513. and Cordillia finally meet, and talk awkwardly before running away from
  514. each other.
  515.  
  516. Buffy walks down the street of her city, depressed.  
  517.  
  518. Giles anxiously leaves the Library, telling Willow that a friend of his
  519. from Oakland saw a girl killing vampires, and he goes to catch a flight.
  520.  
  521. The girl from the Cafe runs up to Buffy as she walks down the street, and
  522. calls her by her real name, not Anne.  She says that she recognized Buffy,
  523. since she's the main girl from the episode where Buffy's old friend (whom
  524. she had a crush in at their old school) tries to get turned into a vampire
  525. with his cult, by offering Buffy to Spike.  She says that she's changed
  526. her name to Lily, and thanks Buffy for saving her back then.  They talk
  527. when a man pushes between them, saying "I'm no one."  The man walks out
  528. into the street, and stops before a speeding car.  Buffy pushes him out of
  529. the way, but is hit by the car.
  530.  
  531. COMMERCIAL
  532.  
  533. The same scene, with a crowd standing over Buffy.  She stands up, saying
  534. that she's fine, and runs away.  She runs into a guy who's carrying
  535. pamphlets for a family home, and asks her to go.  She refuses. 
  536.  
  537. The scene shows pictures of homeless teens living their lives in the city,
  538. with a music voice-over that switched to a band playing "Find my way" at
  539. the Bronze.  Xander rambles on about how Buffy's going out with everyone
  540. now, and laughing about him, rambling on.  Willow comforts him, and Oz
  541. arrives.  They talk about their vamping, Xander says "We need....", and
  542. Cordillia walks into the Bronze with Xander looking at her and saying
  543. "Bait."
  544.  
  545. At the Buffy residence Mrs. Summers opens the door to let Giles in, who
  546. says that his lead for Buffy was false, and that there were no vampires
  547. only teens dressed badly.  They talk about Buffy, and Giles tells Joyce
  548. not to blame herself.  She replies saying that she doesn't, she blames him
  549. and accuses him of taking her daughter away from her behind her back.
  550.  
  551. In the Cafe Buffy works, and Lily arrives.  She says that Ricki is
  552. missing, and asks for Buffy's help.  Buffy agrees to help reluctantly.
  553. They go to the blood bank, and ask if Ricki's there.  The lady says no,
  554. and gives them an odd look as they leave.
  555.  
  556. Buffy searches around for Ricki, and finally finds an old man dead, but he
  557. has the same tattoo Ricki had.  Buffy tells Lily that Ricki is dead after
  558. growing old, and Lily accuses her of bringing this evil with her to this
  559. city.  Buffy says that it's not a vampire, since vamps don't make people
  560. grow old.  Lily leaves in a storm, and meets the pamphlet guy from before,
  561. who says that he knows Ricki and takes her to the Family Home.
  562.  
  563. Meanwhile Buffy breaks into the blood bank, having found her old heroine
  564. role again.  She fins a record of Ricki saying "Candidate", and is caught
  565. by the lady she met there before.  She asks what it means, and the lady
  566. says that she only gives 'them' the names of the healthy ones.  Buffy asks
  567. who 'they' are.  In the Family Home Lily goes to the "cleansing" to clear
  568. her sins.
  569.  
  570. In the Cemetery Cordillia complains about being the bait, while Oz makes
  571. sure that "Everybody's packing" (stakes and crosses, that is).  As Xander

  574. At the home Lily and the pamphlet man (Ken) are in a room where the man
  575. says the water will help her.  Buffy is at the door, and claims that she
  576. wants to get rid of her sins of sex, and loud music.  She stops saying
  577. that she sucks at being undercover, and bursts through the door.  In the
  578. room with Lily, Lily reaches for the liquid as Buffy enters.  Ken tries to
  579. push her out, but Lily is sucked under.  She fights Ken, and both fall
  580. into the liquid, which is a portal.  They are in another room, with Ken,
  581. who's face mask has fallen off to reveal him as a demon.  They try to run
  582. away, but become stuck on a ledge above a factory, where humans are forced
  583. to work by demon overseers.  Ken knocks out Buffy,
  584.  
  585. COMMERCIAL
  586.  
  587. In the graveyard Cordillia and Xander continue to argue, when Willow
  588. screams.  Oz tries to knock the vamp off, but fails.  Xander grabs the
  589. vamp and tries to stake him, and Cordillia pushes the vamp onto Xander as
  590. the three of them fall over.  The vamp lands on the stick, turns to dust,
  591. leaving Cordiallia lying on top of Xander.  The two immediately begin
  592. kissing passionately.
  593.  
  594. Buffy and Lily are trapped in a cell in the dimension, with a human
  595. corpse.  Ken says that they're in hell, and that Ricki forgot all about
  596. Lily after a few years.  He claims that 100 years pass in their dimension,
  597. while only a day passes on Earth, which is why Ricky and others aged so
  598. quickly.  They chose Lily because no one would miss her, and Buffy wasn't,
  599. but she got her wish to run away where no one could find her.
  600.  
  601. A door opens and humans including Buffy and Lily stand before a demon, who
  602. asks them who they are.  They say they are no one, but Buffy tells him
  603. that she is Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and fights him.  She fights others,
  604. and the group hides.  She tells Lily that when she distracts the guards,
  605. she's to lead the people out of there.  And alarm goes off, and Buffy runs
  606. with demons on her tail.  She fights them, as Lily leads the people out.
  607. Ken is distressed, claiming that humans can't fight back.  He runs after
  608. Lily, and takes her hostage.  Meanwhile Buffy keeps fighting until she
  609. sees Lily being held hostage, and gives up.  The demon lets go of Lily,
  610. who pushes him off a ledge.  Buffy fights the demons again, and climbs a
  611. chain to the platform where Lily and her escape is.  They run down a
  612. passage to the portal, and Buffy lifts up a gate for them.  As she passes
  613. through the demon pushes her, knocking her through but not himself.  The
  614. gate comes down and sticks in his feet.  Buffy cuts off his head, and they
  615. leave through the portal.  The portal suddenly disappears behind them.
  616.  
  617. In Buffy's room in the city, she prepares to leave Lily alone.  She gives
  618. Lily her old job, and identity, and promises to call.  Lily asks if she
  619. can be Anne.

  621. In the Summer residence, the doorbell rings and Joyce goes to answer it.
  622. Waiting at the door is Buffy.  Mother and daughter stare at each other for
  623. a minute, then hug.

  798. which means lots of new keeper possibilities!!  If you see something that
  799. you like in an episode, you should try to be the keeper of it.

  801. "Keeping" is a way of showing your love for the show and your favorite
  802. characters, places and quotes.  Some sites divide the claims into Keepers
  803. and Guardians... Keepers keep tangible items that you could actually touch.
