Here is what I found on the Net:
"Buffy" is skewing male and more towards the 18-34
and 18-49 demographic (The show's median audience age is 29.)

Just some specualtion on that question:
He can have his soul restored without cursing him. Meaning that if he got
happy again he wouldn't lose his soul. The curse and the information on the
disk are two seperate things. The curse was placed so that he would never feel
happiness. The ritual was placed so that he would be miserable about all the
horrible things he had done.

I don't understand that. While he seems to enjoy playing with his food
first...I don't think he would pass up a child whom he found wandering out
alone at night. Sometimes a vampire just needs a quick snack. <eg>
Do you honestly think that Angel would pass up a chance to kill ....
say....a visiting young cousin of Buffy's? Or possibly the younger
siblings of Willow or Xander? When he killed the Gypsy girl..he also
killed every man, woman and child in the camp. He killed every member of
Dru's family....do you assume there were no children involved?
I can't imagine that Angel would have any scruples about killing a child -
for sport or to hurt Buffy or to give Sunshine a tender treat for dinner.

Just to clear something up. On last night's Conan, the person linked to
SMG was Matt LeBlanc (the guy who plays Joey on Friends), not Matthew Perry
or Matt Damon. It might just have been some artistic licence to come up
with a funnier picture -- it was during If They Mated, in which they meld
the pictures of two people to show some supposedly hilarious image of what
the couple's child would look like if they had one -- but it was Matt LeBlanc.

I think the only way to heal Angel is to give him his soul back. The
reason is simple. You cannot change a vampire back to human. It just
isn't possible. You could excorcise him, but that would probably kill
him.

Actually, there are two times (in that one ep.)that her record

OK, I'm sitting here getting weird thoughts.
Why didn't Xander stake Angelus in the cemetary?
Did he come out *to the cemetary* without a stake? When they were
looking for Buffy to protect her? Is he STUPID or something? They
all had crosses (very cute the way they whipped them out in unison!);
why not stakes?
Is it because some part of *Xander* doesn't want to lost all hope for
Angel's return? Maybe Xander couldn't face what it would do to Buffy
to have the once and future (?) Angel dust in her arms?
Besides the obvious, that they can't stake Angelus because DB has a
contract for next year, is there any other explanation for this?

The best bit: "Cordelia Chase" is "Cordelia's persecution." <g>

Subject: BUFFY: Ratings okay
Okay everyone, calm down. Yes, Buffy's ratings have been slipping a bit since
it's Tuesday debut, but they are still higher than they were on Mondays, and
that's a good thing. During Buffy's Monday timeslot, it only achieved ratings
above 4.0 twice....once for Bad Eggs (4.1) and once for Surprise (4.4) and
Surprise was very heavily promoted.
Since Buffy has moved to Tuesdays, it's only been below 4.0 once and that was
for the rerun of The Dark Age (3.5).
I really think that May's ratings are going to improve even more if the WB
does the right thing and promotes heavily...because that is the most important
sweeps period.
Btw, as for promotion, here in Columbus, Ohio, there has been almost none. I
didn't hear a single commercial for Passion...and we didn't even get the print
ad in TV Guide!
Anyway, here's a Reuters/Variety summary that I found.
"The WB was the only network aside from CBS to improve from last year's
February sweeps. Boosted by its new Tuesday lineup of ``Buffy the Vampire
Slayer'' and ``Dawson's Creek,'' the fledgling network grew 26% in households
to a 3.4/5.
Among young viewers, the WB did even better. The network increased its adults
18-49 demographic by 38% and adults 18-34 by 27%. In contrast, WB rival UPN
dropped 34% in adults 18-49 compared to a year ago. In households, UPN dropped
21% to finish February with a 2.7/4.
The new teen drama ``Dawson's Creek'' is the WB's highest-rated program,
scoring a 5.0/7 in households during the February sweeps. In its new Tuesday
time period, ``Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' averaged a 4.1/6 household rating. "

<<How many vamps has Buffy staked as they rose from
the grave, they hadn't done anything yet, and are just straddled with the
demon. Teresa was innocent in 'Phases', yet she was dusted quickly.>>
Absolutely! I totally agree. Buffy is the Slayer; she has to be consistent.
Angel originally deserved to be spared because he wasn't hurting anyone
anymore, and felt guilty. But now that he's evil and killing people, it's
Buffy's job to slay him. That doesn't necessarily mean I WANT him to die -
he's a good character, so I'm ambivalent about what should be done with him.
If the question is, "Should Angel die and thus be gone from the show?", I'd
probably say, "No, at least not yet." In other words, "Should the writers kill
Angel off? Not yet." BUT if the question is, "Should Buffy TRY to kill Angel?"
the answer is definitely YES!
<<Right. Move on to Spike, Dru and all the rest. Let's have a vamp-free
Sunnydale--no favorites. :) >>
I interpret this remark (perhaps wrongly) to mean, "If the lynchers want Angel
to die, why don't they want Spike and Dru to die?" The answer is that,
although I don't want Spike and Dru to die because they're interesting
characters, I certainly DO think Buffy should do her best to kill them - and
in fact, she does. She's tangled with Spike a number of times, but he always
gets away. It's her JOB to kill vampires, so no, she shouldn't play favorites.
<<Am I the only one falling out of my chair when a Spike/Angel scene comes
on?>>
Nope, I find them hysterical too! I totally cracked up when Angel said, "Maybe
I'll take you with me next time, Spike. You might come in handy...if I need a
really good parking space." ROTFL!!!
<<Angel simply plopped down on the table the fresh heart he had just a few
minutes earlier gleefully ripped from the chest of a "young shopgirl.">>
A "shopgirl" is just a girl who works in a shop - in other words, a sales
clerk. I'm picturing someone in her early '20s, or at the very least late
teens. No way was she a small child.

Ok. This really disturbed me the first time I saw "Ted." Buffy gets all
mental over killing him. Fine. She should be upset over killing someone.
Now here's my problem: she doesnt get upset killing vampires, etc. Now, I
know it's her job, they're evil, etc. blah blah. Yet: she's still
murdering people. Shouldn't she feel *some* remorse and lay off the
smart-aleck comments? I mean even modern day criminals, if someone kills
them (or if they get toasted by order of the court); there is a certain
amount of guilt attached to whoever pulls the trigger, flips the switch,
etc. Is Buffy supposedly free of such an emotion? and if she is, then why
does she get so upset when she kills Ted. I know there are differences in
the situations, sure, but she usually is so utterlt flippant when killing
demons, etc. And the only reason she ever gives for not wanting to be the
slayer is b/c it interferes with her life. Shouldnt this character soon
come to a head about all the killing she does on a daily basis? Come on! I
mean, even soldiers have problems with this: what makes Buffy so
unfeeling?

Not all the fans who want Angel to be staked necessarily "want his blood"
or are part of a "lynch mob". I don't want Angel gone from the show: I
think he makes a very interesting bad guy, and I like him a LOT more this
way. However, Buffy & Co. have to go after him very aggressively and try
to kill him. Also, I personally don't want him to get his soul back: 1)
It would be totally crul to Angel to have to face again all the harm that
Angelus did, 2) I don't think that Buffy & Co. will be able to totally
forget what he did as Angelus even though it wasn't really him and
therefore they won't really be able to trust him as completely as they
did before and things will be tense and uncomfortable, yadda yadda yadda,
and 3) I don't want to sit through hours and days and weeks of the
beautiful Angel raising his tear-filled eyes to the heavens, unable to
fogive himself. A little while of that would be nice, yes, but not as
much as he's gonna need in order to get over all of this.
Now, I don't want to kill Angel myself, so I'm not part of a "lynch mob",
but yet I do think that he should remain evil, which means that at some
point, for the good guys to win, he'll have to die. There is my excuse.

I thought that Buffy feels no remorse because those that she is killing
aren't human. Do we know if she is killing the demon itself, or simply
banishing it from its human "house" and sending it back from whence it
came? I kind of think of Buffy as a type of supernatural exterminator:
getting rid of all the "bugs" that are making life difficult for the humans
in the area. I think she would be severly incapacitated if she were to
get a crisis of conscience about every vamp she dusted. I think it helps
that the vamps have a change of facial features along with their
transformation: that may allow her to distance herself from the idea of
killing people, as opposed to demons.

using victims' bodies and memories, and twisting them to do evil things. =
They deserve to
be dusted. It is a matter of protecting humanity from demonic forces, and=
heck yea,
I think they deserve it. No remorse needed. Now, staking a vamp that has =
a human soul
who is *not* killing people and poses no threat, that would be bad. Shoul=
d an exorcist feel
guilty about exorcising a demon out of a person? No. That demon shouldn't=
be there to start
with. Buffy should feel good that she helps to rid the world of these cre=
atures. No remorse
is necessary. She has lost enough people she knows becuase of them. Being=
a murderer
means killing a living being, and vampires are most dead, the demon being=
the driving force
that keeps the body going. By staking the vamp, she is killing the *demon=
*. That body died
way before that.

1) The bodies the demons wear are already dead. She isn't killing anyone.
the demons in question have already done the killing.
2) The demons/ghouls/whatever are merely dispatched back to hell by Buffy.
In spite of their outward appearance, vampires and other assorted nasties
are not humans. Therefore there can be no murder in the legal sense of the
word. The creatures/beings she is "killing" are denizens of hell. She's
just sending them back to where they belong.

My reasons for wanting Angel dusted are threefold (I think most
will agree with the first at least). One, I like Xander. His humour
and sarcasm make many an episode. And since he's at odds with Angel, it
makes all us viewers who love Xander's character also at odds with
Angel. Second, apart from a swift kick in the groin and a few punches
in Passion and KBD(which, sob, I haven't seen yet) our lil' ol' slayer
hasn't tried to slay him. It's unfair. it's favourtism. I like Spike
but I still want to see Buffy (at least try) to kill him. And finally,
who cares if "it's not Angel, it's the demon, blah blah blah..." If
it's the demon then kill the demon...oh wait, we have to kill Angel too
don't we? Awww. Too bad. We'll just have to kill the fiend that's been
'stalking' Buffy for like a year now (even though she liked him, it was
still stalking); that killed Ms. C.; that tried to kill all Buffy's
friends at least once each; and that was going to kill Buffy at least
once (ex: BB&B: he said: "... actually I was going to do something TO
Buffy...").
P.S.: I say this in full knowledge that officially the character has
been renewed, and also I say this in good humor. Hey, wait I say we
kill Angel, bring his soul into another vamp's body and then slay it
too! We can call it the "Angel's Musical Soul Game" ! Anybody wanna
play??? ;-)

You're right. Young could refer to a girl in her 20s. But, it's just as
likely to mean a young girl like "Cindy". And that's the point! Angel is
running around killing people ...all kinds of people, young and old. How many
more should he be allowed to rip apart? How many families should be hurt
before Buffy gets her act together?
No favorites. Stake him and move on.

I'm confused, in your scenario when do we get to kill him. Oh, wait ...I=
get
it ...Buffy gets close to him and then stakes him! Great ...I like it! :)=
