  153. Wow what is the deal with this statement?  Drusilla deserved to be
  154. stalked and tormented into madness for her Great Sins of being chaste,
  155. pure and innocent.  What Bizarro world are you in?  Angelus was not a run
  156. of the mill vampire.   The whole point of the story of Drusilla and the
  157. comments from the Master was that he was FAR worse that the run of the
  158. mill vampires.  He was a Prince of Demons with the Master being the King.
  159.  Angelus was the epitomy of EVIL that other vampires aspired to, and the
  160. demon part of Angelus is still within him tempered with his soul which
  161. makes for a tortured existence indeed.

  300. I just went and saw the movie Anastasia tonight (which, by the way, is so so
  301. great).  There were a couple of things that caught my attention when I was
  302. watching it.  First was when Anya (Anastasia) and Demetri were fighting in the
  303. train it totally reminded me of Xander and Cordelia fighting in Dark Ages and
  304. What's My Line 2.  Then my friend and I stayed for the credits and guess who
  305. was doing the voice of Demetri?  John Cusak!  Thought fo Willow's fantasy at
  306. that point.  Just thought I'd share those few things.

  323. Geez! You make me feel so bad. I "DESPISE" people who judge others and
  324. get mad at them. I feel so horrible and sad when people get mad at me
  325. (especially when it's for wrong reasons). I don't write the articles
  326. in STAR that ruin people's lives. I just saw Sarah Michelle Gellar and
  327. I know people want to see anything with her because she is BUFFY. I
  328. hate how people slaughter animals to make food, but I eat meat (I am
  329. not the one who slaughters the animals), I hate how Kate Winslet had
  330. to suffer in the cold water while filming TITANIC, but I like the
  331. movie. When I read that, I don't judge people on it because I know it
  332. could not be true. I just read it to find stuff on stars I like. Other
  333. magazines like People don't have many selections on the stars I like.
  334. I really like to read things about Nicholas Brendon and Alyson
  335. Hannigan and I like people to tell me if they are in a magazine. So
  336. when I saw the SMG thing, I showed it to all those Sarah Michelle
  337. Gellar lovers. I never hurt ANYONE by reading those mags. Please don't
  338. judge people on things like this. Sorry if I was too mean or hurt anyone.

  436. that why I'm on the list so when some thing is out on her I wont miss 
  437. it. so please continue to keep us up dated on SMG even in the tabloid 
  438. world. And don't let listen to people who obiously have some weird 
  439. issues to deal with.  If they come down on you for posting buffy stuff

  477. ok, let me clear one thing up first.
  478. speaking in reference to the movie CHASING AMY(which has totally
  479. enlightened the way i think about love), "making love"
  480. does not have to involve the process of intercourse. (if i can say that 
  481. word on this list, if i can't, please forgive me listowners) it can consist
  482. of all the things you consider passionate.  one of them may be
  483. intercourse, but there are many other things that can take it's place.  in
  484. this path, virginity also has shady boundaries to it.  but ultimately, it's
  485. the sharing of intense emotions with the opposite party, this can take place
  486. in any number of ways.  I'm not saying Buffy WILL NOT lose her virginity,
  487. with the definition that I'M going with, Buffy can surely lose her virginity,
  488. but referring to "IT", i'm completely denying the possibility that it's 
  489. possible.

  491. this is purely my opinion:
  492. i've been following the vampire lore for a long time.  i love the sensuality,
  493. and the corresponding madness that vampires have.  but the fact is that
  494. they are dead beings with their souls replaced by demons (according
  495. to Joss).  In the case of smoking, Spike may have been smoking just
  496. to satisfy himself of the image that he carries (the bad boy rebel vampire
  497. image).  We all know that he is arrogant to the extreme, and he thrives
  498. on being the baddest vampire that he can possibly be.
  499.  
  500. i just realized that i'm going nowhere with this debate.  I have no say
  501. in this.  it's is truly up to Joss's opinion on how the physycality of
  502. vampires
  503. work(in BtVS that is; I have my own beliefs).  if he belives that 
  504. vampires have the ability to control their reproductive
  505. organs, then we might actually observe the mating rituals of vampires.
  506. (although i possitively believe that vampires can't reproduce).  I mean, 
  507. what is the function of THE ORGAN??  as long as they've been around,
  508. I'd like to think that vampires have been enlightened enough to know
  509. that intercourse is the LEAST way of showing their love and adoration
  510. for their loved ones.  In the case of Dru and Spike, i've never seen them
  511. kiss each other, which leads me to belive that what they have does
  512. not consist of only physical connection, but more of a spiritual connection
  513. between two demons that love each other(even though Dru seems to
  514. be infatuated with Angel more than with Spike).  Demons are not known
  515. for their physical prowess, it's their spirituality and passion.
  516.  
  517. again, i emphasize that this is ONLY my opinion and mine alone,
  518. what Joss believes is not my duty to criticize, cuz he writes such great 
  519. Vampire Lore, and there are so many forks in the road of Vampire mythology
  520. (which noone knows that much about).

  522. others may belive that the vampire's need for blood is to replenish their
  523. dead cells with stolen blood.  But my belief is that it's all symbolic.  As
  524. demons, they steal the lifeline of individuals to satisfy their hunger to
  525. sever the connection of people from their environment.  Simply put, just to
  526. KILL.  that is their purpose, to corrupt people and ultimately lead them
  527. to torturous death.  I haven't witnessed Angel ever putting anyone under
  528. his fangs to steal their blood.  That is because Angel has a soul, if his body
  529. NEEDED blood, he would be a "dead" vampire by now.  His soul has
  530. made him realize that his symbolic pursuit for blood is morally wrong.  
  531. If anybody thinks that the stolen blood in Angel's body will put his ORGAN to
  532. action, this would be my defense against it.

  535. i really didn't like that LONG discussion about Buffy and Joyce's motives
  536. for saying what they said to the detectives in TED, but i'm doing the
  537. same thing here(I'm such a hypocrite)...

  540. at 4:20 in the morning), but i hope this has put my point across...

  558. Now, what I would like to know is what is so wrong with Buffy and Angel 
  559. doing the nasty.  Sure, we've had some people say that it's not 
  560. possible, him being a vamp and all...  We've had other, patriarchal 
  561. thoughts, that Buffy, being a role model, CAN'T have sex...  What planet 
  562. are you from?!!!  Buffy is a teenager, like everyone else...  Joss has 
  563. said that repeatedly, and "Buffy" says it on almost every show.  I don't 
  564. think it's so wrong, after all, most teenagers these days are having sex 
  565. regularly from 13 on.  She's almost 17 for gosh sakes!!!!!   Any 
  566. thoughts, or am I just being the only openminded one here?

  586. Well, if you had cared to research this phenomenon of Angel, he DOES 
  587. NEED blood to survive... He doesn't kill people for their blood as his 
  588. heart and soul (given back to him by the gypsy curse) won't let him kill 
  589. humans.  However, he has been surviving on field rodents and small 
  590. animals.  Haven't you ever noticed that there aren't a lot of cats and 
  591. rats around when Angels in the picture...  This whole blood sucking 
  592. thing is not a symbolic ritual, it's a need to survive.  Vampires need 
  593. the living blood to survive.  If they don't have it they become weak and 
  594. eventually die.  Didn't you figure out that that's why Drucilla was so 
  595. weak all the time.  She became ill, and couldn't feed, and Spike 
  596. couldn't bring anything back to her, so she was getting little bits of 
  597. blood but not enough to bring her vitality back.

  677. Willow can get Giles deported; he is a foreign citizen living in the US.

  681. manipulated all Buffy's other friends away.

  746. According to an old TV guide article from last year, Sarah and Joss   
  747. discussed this before they even started filming and decided "Buffy was a   
  748. virgin"  Why is this such a big deal? She's 16 and from what we can tell   
  749. she has not been "Miss Popularity".  Also the show has focused on teen   
  750. angst as well as slaying and this has got to be a major "angst" in a   
  751. young girl's life.  The key is to see how well she (and Joss) handles the   
  752. situation if (or when) it arrises. (no pun intended). I'm more itnerested   
  753. to know why Angel drove Dru insane. We know he loved her and she seemed   
  754. to love him at the playground. Perhaps Dru was also a virgin who resisted   
  755. his advances a little too long?  Perhaps he drives people insane when he   
  756. can't get what he wants?

  780. possible betrayer, then use her that way.  Sort of like the mystery novel that
  781. you're trying to figure out who the murderer is and he turns out to be the 
  782. business partner who's not mentions until the very last page.

  891. I don't know why everyone is looking to other possibilities for who betrays
  892. her. They gave that away in the preview. Remember, the "Everything you know
  893. about Buffy & Angel is about to Change." (This doesn't me it's true) But the
  894. whole preview pointed to Angel. (even though that kills me to say it.) It was
  895. obvious. He was in the promo pulling his head up, he was the only focus
  896. besides Buffy. Unless you count Drusilla but we all know she isn't the one
  897. since Buffy doesn't know her. Except for that talk-to-my-boyfriend-who-made-
  898. you-and-threaten-your-life. But, unfortunately, it has to be Angel. At least
  899. that's my opinion.

  901. And my final opinion on this "it" thing. If you watch the previews, it kind
  902. gives away that there will be some action. Since they showed in the
  903. background, hands on sheets. It was kinda obvious. And unless Angel is
  904. sleeping with Drusilla, that was Buffy. I still can't tell if he had his game
  905. face on when he said "Things are about to get very intersting" when he was
  906. talking to Buffy.

  908. One last thing...the pier thing. I saw that someone threw her off. Really
  909. threw her, and it looked a lot like Angel. But the next scene showed him
  910. jumping in after her, on the other side of the pier. Then I think I saw
  911. another figure where she was thrown off but the frame goes to fast to be sure.
  912. I just hope they didn't do a Angel throw her off the pier, save her life, say
  913. he loves her, then the head to his place kind a thing. That would be kinda
  914. strange.
