  263. In case you didn't know, the TV Guide pics. were not all taken at the same
  264. time. (It's actually obvious if look closely.) The pic. on Kim's site was
  265. taken at almost the same time as the pic. on the TV Guide _cover_.

  267. Actually, this is kind of wierd. I got a bunch of the promo pics. last
  268. month, and I didn't get the same ones as Kim. However, I didn't get a
  269. different set, either. _Some_ of the pics. I have are the same as the ones
  270. on Kim's site, but some are different. Hmmm...

  324. get together earlier in the series and then have some sort of a dispute
  325. which could momentarly break their friendship and make it awkward for

  327. a good chance to write in about a monster or something that helps them
  328. realise they cannot not be friends.

  330. choose between Angel and Xander, hopefully xander cause hes my namesake

  368.      I don't know if anybody has seen this ad yet (or mentioned it, and I
  369. just missed it) but there's a great promo ad in the new issue of Maxim
  370. magazine.  It's a beautiful head shot of Buffy, with Angel in the background,
  371. pushing buffy's hair away from fer neck, staring at it.  The caption reads,
  372. "What is it about dangerous women?"  The bottom just has the new Buffy logo
  373. and a WB logo.
  374.      Like I said, sorry if this one's been mentioned before, but I just had
  375. to piont it out as a great pic anyway.  I don't have a website right now, but
  376. anybody who would like a scan could just contact me personally, or maybe one

  533. uh this is so unfair! i just worked it out that down here in Kiwiland
  534. (NZ) our first season finishs on exactly the same date as when you guys
  535. and gals in the states get the new series premiere (sep 15th), though it
  536. will be diffrent days, same date because of the large time difference.
  537. any dibs on how long Buffy will actually last, i mean howe many seasons,
  538. it better be more than 2, how long do WB usually continue their main
  539. programs like this, oh and is it true that buffy might be moving t fox,
  540. i heard it somewhere in passing and didnt pay much attention to it. and
  541. i know im ignorant but what does IHMO mean?

  979. episode." I think Joss was referring to his refusal to be "heavy-handed"

  1043. part of the show, and in fact think it's an integral part of the character's
  1044. motivation.  Sure, it's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (not "Melrose Place" with
  1045. fangs) and will always remain as such, but if all we ever saw was a cute high
  1046. school girl staking vamps we'd all get pretty dang bored.  Besides, given the
  1047. groundwork laid out last season regarding the whole who's gonna end up with
  1048. whom thing, wouldn't an increase in the amount of romance just be a natural
  1049. progression in the character's lives?  Additionally, they're all at that
  1050. wonderful age where we tend to jump headlong into relationships, albeit with
  1051. our eyes not quite wide open.  Don't forget, we've only seen 12 eps thus far,
  1052. barely enough to scratch the surface of the peoples lives.

  1054. Let's also not lose sight of Joss's genius here.  Do any of you honestly
  1055. think he's a closet Aaron Spelling?  If so, shame on you.  Spelling is
  1056. brilliant when it comes to marketing, mainstream production, and superficial
  1057. character portrayal.  His 25,000 square foot home is testament to that.  Joss
  1058. has a creative brilliance that transcends this surface fluff, and Buffy is
  1059. testament to that.

  1157. I don't really have a problem with that, because about ten years ago, I
  1158. was in that same position. I was, but most everybody I knew wasn't, so
  1159. my natural assumption would have been the same as Buffy's. "Of course
  1160. he's not." Whether she is or not wouldn't matter, at least if I were
  1161. she.

  1168. This could certainly be true, but I inferred something slightly
  1169. different. Let me give you a for-instance.

  1171. With all the spilled blood, it might not be much of a stretch for
  1172. certain producers (who will remain nameless, but their initials are
  1173. Aaron Spelling) to write in an AIDS storyline. Ooh, serious social
  1174. commentary. Big ratings, right? "Tonight, on a Very Special Buffy."
  1175.  
  1176. That's the kind of sensationalistic, exploitative crap that I think Joss
  1177. was promising to avoid. Sure, there will be sexual tension. There will
  1178. be a little violence here and there. But I don't expect Buffy to ever
  1179. forget that, deep down, it's just a TV show. Entertainment.

  1181. Like you said, we're not mind-readers. But it sure is fun to speculate.

  1193. I was just watching Nightmares again, and I noticed that when the Master
  1194. is talking with Buffy (in the graveyard) he makes the sarcastic retort
  1195. of "a dream is a wish your heart makes" - ala Cinderella.  It was a
  1196. funny thought, you know, the master renting "family" movies for The
  1197. Chosen One....or perhaps Joss's (don't even start the whole 's debate
  1198. anyone!) own political commentary on the evils of Disney (which I
  1199. personally prefer- although the first is very whimsical).  Remember the
  1200. vampire in Welcome to the Hellmouth- the one who's fashion sense was
  1201. dated?  Wouldn't it be funny if the only modern thing the vamps have
  1202. kept up on is Disney (maybe Disney is even part of the whole vampire
  1203. plot--  wear down our intelligence, brainwash our children, put in
  1204. hidden messages that make us believe that all evil is controllable and
  1205. ultimately won over through goodness and luck...etc???)  I find it
  1206. funny....
