The term would be flesh eater. I think the hyenia episode showed that meat
eating is evil. When the gang was possessed they preyed on the weak (a trait
of the evil), first they consumed a pig, then the principal. I think this
episode demonstrated that meat eaters aren't that far from canibals and
other violent perpetrators. Anyone agree?

You need to do research on factory farmed egg production. The male chicks
hatched egg factory farms are suffocated or ground up alive because they are
of no efficient use. The layer hens are crammed in to cages 1/5 the size of
what would be comfortable. The word is vegan. Sorry people, I didn't want
to get off topic, but I can't allow ignorance to go unchallenged.

No, it's just as much an adult show as it is anyone's. There's this 38 year

I personally thought the answer was because it's a turn-on. It's a sexy
outfit according to a number of my friends. For some reason, the
catholic school - type uniform - type outfits are really attractive.

Besides the fact we are getting off subject, do remember the life cycle of
earth. Animals eating other animals has happened for eon's and is a part
of nature...if you think we meat eaters are evil sadists come meet me at

Uh...BtVS definitely doesn't seem like a children's show to me.
The subject matter is more mature, the violence is much more realistic
(Buffy doesn't have sparks flying off of her when she's injured), and the
dialogue is more intelligent. I do see some similarities between MMPR
and BtVS, (especially the scene in "Angel" when the Master has his temper
tantrum over losing Darla), but BtVS is, overall, the superior show.
Being a fanatical fan of two children's shows (Saban Spliced
Sentai, AKA Power Rangers, VR Troopers, etc., and Transformers Classic
and BW), I definitely don't think that BtVS is intended for children.
(Besides, if it were for children, where're the toys?^_^)

I'd personally shop at Crown or McKay's Used Books...because, frankly,
I'm a cheapskate, and Borders + B&N jack up their prices too much (even
if they do have an excellent selection. (I also think it's stupid that
you were insulted over buying a copy of "The Harvest." Even if they
didn't like the show, it's just not good business sense to insult the
customer. (Okay, getting off topic, I'll shut up now.)
BTW, is a real series of "Buffy" books coming out (I don't mean
novelizations of episodes, but original works)?

I have zany friends with perverse senses of humor who just don't get
Buffy. And (without regard to actual chronology) they are all somewhat
more mature than I am in certain ways, better job, married and/or
children, own or rent a house (as opposed to a room or apt).
I'm becoming slowly convinced (this is a personal reflection,
not a troll) that one must either be a teenager or be willing to
readily assume teenage emotional space to really enjoy Buffy.
I'm not ashamed to dwell in teenage emotional space. It's
the age of youth-cult worship. People with teenage emotions
are in. We're still in, right?

Yeah? Well you should've seen the *sumo wrestler* that

You mean like the "tapping on the knees with the little rubber

opposing wall with the force of her leg reaction?

I'm not sure that you even have to assume teenage emotional space, I just
think you need to have experienced high school as the hell it is. Did I
mention I go back to school Wednesday? I can hardly wait.

I disagree. I'm *well* beyond teenage (my current age could, in fact,
equal *two* teenagers), have a professional job, a mortgage, etc, etc...
all the traditional signs of staid respectability... and I love the
show. Not because it's a "teen" show, but because it's unashamedly
campy.
Good camp is *so* hard to find these days.
Here's a hint-- find a 30-something who liked the old Godzilla movies as
a kid (one of the local stations continually re-ran them on Saturday
afternoons when I was 6-9 yrs old), and s/he will *love* Buffy. They
have the same not-taking-themselves-seriously flavor to them (but Buffy
generally has better plots! <g>)

Not sure about the whole season. When I talked to my crew

(three and a half ep's). Extrapolate from that as

I personally think it would be wrong for Buffy to go out with Xander.
She would be destroying her relationship with Willow (If someone ever
did that to me I could never forgive them. Believe me I know from
experience.). And Buffy and Xander would more or less inevitably break
up, and maybe not on good terms. She would end up losing the only two
friends she had. Thats just what I think.

I noticed that people have this preocupation with where everyone is
located. Maybe there should be a web page for XMission List
personalities? Something where you can post something about yourself,
where you are, etc? Just an idea, since everyone seems interested in
knowing.

I think this is an excellent idea, and was just going to suggest this myself.
So how about it? Any volunteers?
ObBUFFY: Thanks to Flagg I've finally seen the promos. I like the new
logo a lot, but I'm glad the show is still called "Buffy the Vampire
Slayer." Is everyone sure Buffy is dancing with Xander--I think it could
be Angel. It looks to me like there's a shot of Willow and Xander standing
