  3.                    Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC)
  4.                  Historical SWPC Products and Data Displays

  6. This directory contains historical SWPC Products, Solar Indices, and 
  7. 3-day GOES and Estimated Kp plots from 1996, as originally published.
  8.     Via Anonymous FTP: ftp.swpc.noaa.gov cd to /pub/warehouse/

  11. The products and displays are organized in yearly sub-directories. In the
  12. current year's directory, new products are added daily. For previous years,
  13. the product and plot subdirectories are compressed and zipped for download.
  14.  
  15. SWPC Daily Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity (RSGA) files from 
  16. 1966 through 1995 were added in February 2011.
  17.  
  18. Each compressed and zipped (*.tar.gz) file contains a directory of product 
  19. files for that year. Each directory is archived using the TAR utility, and 
  20. the .tar file compressed using a GNU ZIP utility. These files can be opened 
  21. using standard Unix tar and gzip utilities, or WinZip on windows platforms.

  65.    the use of preliminary data for research purposes.
