  3. The CERT Coordination Center FTP server was retired as a distribution
  4. source for CERT/CC publications on September 29, 2000. All documents that
  5. were distributed via ftp.cert.org are available from the CERT/CC web
  6. site (http://www.cert.org).

  8. The CERT/CC FTP server was used to distribute PGP signed versions of
  9. CERT/CC documents so visitors could verify a document's
  10. authenticity. To continue to provide a method of authenticating
  11. documents, the CERT/CC has deployed a secure web site
  12. (https://www.cert.org). Visitors who wish to verify the authenticity
  13. of documents retrieved from the CERT/CC may connect to the secure site
  14. and examine the site certificate. Visitors that require an additional
  15. level of trust may call the CERT/CC hotline (+1-412-268-7090) to
  16. verify the fingerprint of the site certificate with a member of the
  17. CERT/CC staff.
