  1. Actiontec 1520 and 1524 PPPoA Installation
  2.  
  3.   Please plug in the Actiontec and using a network cable, connect your
  4. computer's network connection to the Actiontec's network connection.  
  5. Wait about one minute for the Actiontec to start up, then press and hold
  6. the "reset" button on the back of the Actiontec for 15 solid seconds with
  7. a pen tip.  After letting go of the reset button, wait about 1 minute for
  8. the modem to fully reboot.  The modem power light should flash when it
  9. reboots.  If the power light doesn't flash at least once, please unplug
  10. the modem power, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in.  Then please do
  11. the following:

  13. 1) Go to http://192.168.0.1/ in your web browser.
  14. 2) Click "Setup / Configuration".
  15. 3) Click on "Advanced Setup" on the left side.
  16. 4) Click "Begin Advanced Setup", click "Next".
  17. 5) Choose "Obtain and address through PPPoA", Click "Next".
  18. 6) Check "PPP auto connect" if its there.
  19.    Username: ppp
  20.    Password: ppp
  21.       Please use all lowercase for username and password.
  22.    Leave "Static IP" blank.
  23.    Click "Next".
  24. 7) Click "Save and Restart" on the bottom
  25.    of the left column.
  26. 8) Click "Save and Restart".

  28. Thats it, the Actiontec should be set up.  It will take 1 minute to
  29. reboot.  The Internet light should go on and solid green.  You should then
  30. be able to use your computer(s) on the Internet.
