ATH-ANC7b QuietPoint active noise-cancelling over-ear headphones,
which, according to the company, have the same 85 percent
noise-cancellation but incorporate a number of improvements from the
previous model to offer even better sound quality, comfort and
convenience.
The earcups have been redesigned for greater comfort, and feature
cushioned padding and a shape that fits over any ear. In addition,
the ATH-ANC7b is supplied with two 5.2-foot and 3.3-foot detachable
cables, and offers easier battery access.
The ATH-ANC7b employs QuietPoint active noise-cancellation
technology. A miniature microphone in each earcup detects
environmental noise, and a corresponding sound-cancelling signal is
applied. The headphones can be used with the iPod, iPhone, portable
music and DVD players, laptop computers, in-flight entertainment
systems and other devices.
The ATH-ANC7b utilizes large-aperture 40 mm neodymium-magnet drivers

US$14.99 and is compatible with all Apple devices running iPhone OS
2.2 through iPhone OS 3.0.
SurfBalance combines a full-screen mobile web browser with features
that go beyond traditional web site filtering to guide young web
users to develop better web usage habits, says its developers. The
browser lets parents guide, limit and verify their kids' web use,
even if they're connecting to the web through mobile hotspots that
typically don't limit site access.
SurfBalance provides a catalog, which parents can modify, of more
than 1,000 kid-friendly sites. The app tracks and displays total
usage and usage by category. This feature helps kids understand how
they spend time on the web and helps them find appropriate sites.
