So much so that shoppers are buying units from Apple for private resale in such large quantity, that Apple had to temporarily down the Beijing Apple Store.</p>

Quoting a "source," <a href="http://www.hardmac.com/news/2010/09/30/rumour-the-new-final-cut-studio-could-be-delayed">Hardmac reports</a> that the development of the next major update to Final Cut Studio has suffered "significant setbacks" and won't be available until 2011.</p>
<p>Hardmac notes that the scope of the project has been reduced as well, and the unified interface is a casualty of that reduction. The source says that differences between the team responsible for Shake and the team working on Motion are partly responsible, and representative of the overall difficulty in uniting all of the suite's applications.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that it's a rumor and not written in stone. If it turns out to be true, it's bad news for FCS users who are jonesing for something new.</p>

Nearly half of respondents -- 48% -- revealed that they're earning more than the expected.</p>
<p>The study was conducted between August 30th and September 10th, 2010 via online questionnaire, followed-up by phone. In the end, 78% of respondents rated themselves as satisfied, very satisfied, or somewhat satisfied with the experience of publishing to the App Store, and 99% said they'd continue to do so. </p>
<p>Of course, not all developers surveyed were happy. A full 28% said they're making less than expected. Still, they must be hopeful, as nearly 100% of participants said they'd continue to sell mobile apps through Apple.</p>

Nielsen's Connected Devices Playbook finds that, compared to owners of the Kindle and Sony Playstation Portable, iPad owners are more likely to be young, male, and receptive to advertising.

As of Chrome 6, Google bundles an experimental PDF plugin, which is disabled by default.<br />

To enable it:</p>

<li>Type about:plugins in the omnibox.</li>
<li>You should see a disabled plugin called 'Chrome PDF Viewer;' click the Enable button under this plugin.</li>
</ul>
<p>You should now be able to view PDFs in Chrome. There are a few rough edges to this plugin. The occasional PDF will not display properly (in particular, it seems to choke on PDFs that have restrictions in effect — printing, copying, etc), but the vast majority show up just fine. The viewer is very fast, and has resizing controls available in the bottom-right corner of the window.<br />

<p>The second-generation Apple TV is almost here and the cool cats at iFixit have posted a complete teardown of the device, which apparently includes a small 8GB of onboard storage and the same 256MB of RAM found in the iPad and fourth-generation iPod touch.</p>
<p>Per the report, the new Apple TV uses a Samsung K9LCG08U1M 8GB NAND Flash chip, which is the same part found during the site’s iPad teardown. The memory is likely used to cache content that is being streamed.</p>
<p>“This is a pretty remarkable amount of storage for a US$99 device,” the solutions provider wrote.</p>
<p>Interestingly, logic board on the hardware shows solder pads that would fit an iPod 30-pin dock connector, perhaps implying what could come in future versions of the hardware.</p>
