  1. FLISTFRONTEND, UTILITIES, File-List Manager
  2. FLIST (directory-editor) provides you, the user with a powerful and  versatile
  3. interface  to VAX/VMS.  Rather than the line-oriented, "glass teletype", FLIST
  4. is a full-screen editor which  shows  the  effects  of  commands  rapidly  and
  5. naturally.   It  provides  both interfaces to VAX/VMS file management commands
  6. (EDIT, COPY, RENAME) as well as extensions to the command interface to  better
  7. integrate VMS commands, and to augment them
  8.  
  9.     o   Directory sorting shows you the relationship between  files  based  on
  10.         their directory-attributes (e.g., size, date).
  11.  
  12.     o   Alternate display formats (from a palette of directory-attributes) can
  13.         easily be constructed.
  14.  
  15.     o   A built-in command history and parameter substitution  facility  makes
  16.         FLIST simple to learn and easy to use.
  17.  
  18.     o   Commands which alter or create files are  reflected  in  the  display,
  19.         which is updated automatically for most operations.
