  4. Please note the following change:

  6.   Local anonymous access can now view files in 
  7.   the /incoming directory. This will allow local
  8.   users to pick up third party data.

  12. The leeds anonymous ftp server has been updated.

  14. Please note the following changes:
  15.  
  16.   1, The command 'ls' now behaves as it should. 
  17.      Use 'ls -A' for the old behavior.
  18.   2, /incoming is now write-only for anonymous
  19.      access. If you wish to transfer data to &
  20.      from the University please use your 
  21.      account.
  22.   3, Data placed in /incoming will be deleted
  23.      after 7 days. This is to minimise the
  24.      accumulation of data within the incoming
  25.      area.

  29. Gigabit migration of ftp server.
  30.  
  31. On Wednesday 04/02/04 at 15:00 the anonymous ftp
  32. server will be moved onto the new gigabit network.
  33. We will take the oportunity to upgrade the power
  34. supply at this time. The total down time will be
  35. approximately 20 minutes.
