Senet v1.0s (SENET.EXE) is a Windows shareware version of the ancient Egyptian
game of Senet -- The game of the Pharaohs. Requires VBRUN300.DLL
to play. The most popular game of ancient Egypt, played by millions
from 3000 BC to 400 AD, is still fun and enjoyable today.
Historically accurate, full of stunning graphics, brimming with
Egyptian lore and history, lots of great game sounds, an original MIDI score;
all this combined in an easy to learn and play format. It's fun,
it's educational, it's exciting -- the only remaining question:
Are you good enough to beat the Mummy at his own game?
SENET.ZIP should yield the following program files when un-zipped:
SENET.EXE -- The Race Track executable
SENET.HLP -- The Race Track Help File
README.TXT -- This 'read-me' file
MUMFACT .TXT -- The file with all the MummyFacts
SENET.MID -- The Midi background music
BOURN1.WAV -- Game Sounds
BUMP2.WAV "
POWER2.WAV "
PROLOG2.WAV "
PROLOG3.WAV "
ROLLSTKS.WAV "
STICKS1.WAV "
WATER1.WAV "
WIN2.WAV "
Senet is written in Visual Basic 3.0. As such it
requires that VBRUN300.DLL exists in your Windows System directory.

I have a 'slick' install program that takes care of everything having
to do with installation, but for file exchanges across BBSs
it takes up too much room -- adding almost 300K to the files.
So . . . to install Senet, please do the following:
1. Check that VBRUN300.DLL is in your Windows System directory. If not,
please download a copy (there should be a copy on the BBS from which
you downloaded SENET.ZIP).
2. Create a directory SENET.
3. Copy all the files 'unzipped' from SENET.ZIP
to this new SENET directory.
4. Create a program manager icon for SENET.EXE by adding it as a file
in your GAMES program manager group.
That's it.
Thanks for using Senet. I hope it's challenging, fun, and
educational at the same time!
