  1. This FTP site originally resided @ ftp.u.washington.edu.

  3. The Knowledge Base Project of the Human Interface Technology Laboratory is
  4. responsible for maintaining this ftp site.

  7. We are attempting to make the directory structure as simple and/or
  8. intuitive as possible.

  10. The level you are now in is broken down to:

  14. scivw/ (the ftp site for the USENET newsgroup, sci.virtual-worlds)
  15. tech-reports/
  16. theses/
  17. general/     (for unpublished works)

  19. In the directories of published works, all files read:

  21. (report no.)-(first authors name). (file type)
  22.  
  23. As soon as a comprehensive list can be generated of all publications the 
  24. ftp-pub directory holds, the file will be made available as an index 
  25. according to author name.  Therefore, clients will be able to locate 
  26. materials both by report number and by author.
