  23. Recommendation Q.81.5 defines the stage 2 of the integrated services 
  24. digital network (ISDN) as provided by public telecommunications 
  25. operators for the Connected Line Identification Presentation (COLP) 
  26. and Connected Line Identification Restriction (COLR) supplementary 
  27. services. Stage 2 identifies the functional capabilities and the 
  28. information flows needed to support the service description. The 
  29. stage 2 description also identifies user operations not directly 
  30. associated with a call (see Recommendation I.130).

  32. Recommendation Q.81.5 is defined according to the methodology 
  33. specified in Recommendation Q.65.

  35. Recommendation Q.81.5 does not formally describe the relation between 
  36. these supplementary services and the basic call but, where possible, 
  37. this information is included for guidance.

  39. In addition, Recommendation Q.81.5 does not specify the requirements 
  40. where the service is provided to the user via a private ISDN. 
  41. Recommendation Q.81.5 does not specify the requirements for the 
  42. allocation of defined functional entities within a private ISDN; it 
  43. does however define which functional entities may be allocated to a 
  44. private ISDN.

  46. Recommendation Q.81.5 does not specify the additional requirements 
  47. where the service is provided to the user via a telecommunications 
  48. network that is not an ISDN.

  50. The COLP supplementary service provides the calling party with the 
  51. possibility to receive identification of the connected party.

  53. The COLR supplementary service enables the connected party to prevent 
  54. presentation of its ISDN number to the calling party.

  56. The COLP and COLR supplementary services are applicable to all 
  57. telecommunication services.

  60. ISDN COLP and COLR supplementary services. The term "stage 3" is
