  11.        Add the following sentence at the end of  1.1:

  13.        "Where a circuit uses channel associated signalling, it should be
  14.        possible  to  identify  and   measure   at   the   circuit   access
  15.        points,  the   signal-transmission   parameters,   e.g.   type   of
  16.        signal, sequence, timing, duration, level and frequency."

  18.        Change the end of  1.6 to read:
  19.  
  20.        "... digital path as possible. With suitable digital  test  equipment,
  21. such digital path access points enable in-service circuit  monitoring  to  be
  22. carried out when, for example, digital paths  are  directly  interfaced  with
  23. digital exchanges or transmultiplexers.
  24.  
  25.        When the digital path is out of service this same point can be used to 
  26. transmit and receive signals for both digital path and circuit testing."
