  19. Recommendation I.113 consists primarily of those terms and definitions 
  20. that are considered essential to the understanding and application of 
  21. the principles of broadband aspects of the integrated services digital 
  22. network (B-ISDN). They are not exclusive to B-ISDN and are recommended 
  23. also for application, in so far as they are relevant, to other types of 
  24. telecommunication networks.

  26. Included are terms that may already be defined in other CCITT/CCIR 
  27. Recommendations. However, the definitions given in Recommendation I.113 
  28. embrace only the essential concepts and on that basis it is considered 
  29. that they are not inconsistent with the more specialized definitions 
  30. that appear in those Recommendations.
