  21. Recommendation F.86 defines the service requirements and operational 
  22. procedures for interworking between the international telex service 
  23. and the videotex service.
  24.  
  25. Interworking is intended to extend the usefulness and accessibility of 
  26. both services, while ensuring that the Quality of Service perceived by 
  27. subscribers to either service and within that service is not degraded.
  28.  
  29. Interworking between the telex and videotex services shall be provided 
  30. by means of a telex/videotex conversion facility (VTXCF), the two 
  31. sides of which comply with the telex and videotex service requirements 
  32. respectively.

  34. Recommendation F.86 sets out the service principles, the methods of 
  35. interworking, for both telex-to-videotex and videotex-to-telex 
  36. directions.
