  22. Recommendation D.73 sets out the charging and international accounting 
  23. principles applicable by Administrations for the transmission of 
  24. facsimile documents in both directions between subscribers to the 
  25. telefax service and public facsimile bureaux.

  27. In determining the tariff principles to be applied to this service, 
  28. consideration should be given to the structure and level of charges 
  29. applicable to other international telecommunication services supplied 
  30. by the Administrations concerned, and to the provisions of 
  31. Recommendation D.5.

  33. Charging principles
  34.  
  35. The originating Administration should charge either on a per page 
  36. basis or on the normal call charge for the international network used.

  38. International accounting principles
  39.  
  40. Generally speaking, accounting procedures for interworking between the 
  41. international bureaufax and telefax services should be based on the 
  42. same accounting rates and be effected in the same manner as for the 
  43. calls set up normally on the international public network used. These 
  44. facsimile calls are an integral part of the international accounts for 
  45. the public network and should not give rise to any additional 
  46. accounting measures between Administrations.
