Greetings! CAPTAIN HOOK here with a few extra notes on CLUB
BACKGAMMON. You don't have to run the RUNME.BAT file to play CLUB
BACKGAMMON. You can run the CB.EXE file if you wish and all should
work fine. If using a joystick or mouse, move the hand (pointer) to
one of the dice and press the button to roll dice. To use the pull-
down menus, move the hand to the top of the screen till the menu you
want is highlighted, then press the button. Use the joystick or mouse
to move down the menu till the option you want is highlighted, then
press the button. If you run the CB.EXE file to start CLUB BACKGAMMON
instead of the RUNME.BAT file, you can include a few parameters. They
are:
cbo (if you want to start the game without music)
cb c (if you have an EGA card but you do not have a high-resolution
monitor; the game will run in CGA mode)
cb c o (if you want to run in CGA mode without the music)
When using the keyboard:
ESC key: turns music off; cancels menu, dialog box and Show Evaluation
operations; returns selected man to its original point.
D key: rolls the dice.
ENTER key: selects a man, option or file name; when no button is
highlighted, it selects the default button (button with thicker
border).
SPACE bar: selects a man, option or file name.
INS key: selects OK or YES buttons in dialog boxes.
F1-F10 keys: restart Computer vs. Computer game.
BACKSPACE: deletes a character in a file name.
Well, that's it!
MERRY XMAS,
CAPTAIN HOOK
