  4. As Charlie and Ann Marie explore the underground passageway, they are

  6. captured and put into cages.  Later, they notice a large creature
  7.  
  8. swimming toward them in the river.  The creature, King Gator, eyes
  9.  
  10. Charlie hungrily.  As King Gator is about to swallow Charlie, Charlie
  11.  
  12. lets out a high-pitched scream that can be heard for miles around.
  13.  
  14. King Gator, being the music lover that he is, decides that he could 
  15.  
  16. not eat anyone with such a beautiful voice as Charlie, and so Charlie
  17.  
  18. is spared.
