  2. 02/24/90 - European Space Simulator from Tomahawk

  4. Let's start by giving credit where credit is due -- this ware was originally
  5. distributed by INC/NCC; however, it was NEVER CRACKED!  The game was rigged
  6. with a doc check at the beginning of it's execution.  Type in an incorrect
  7. code, and your shuttle turned into the Challenger fireball on liftoff!  As
  8. it turns out, the game was also rigged to self destruct if you bypassed the
  9. doc check in 7, count 'em, 7 different places.  Normally, PSI would have
  10. simply released a patch file, but changes needed to be made in 3 of the 4
  11. executable overlays provided with the game, and thus it made sense to
  12. rerelease it in its entirity.  Hopefully this won't offend INC, but hey,
  13. they were the ones who released it without bother cracking it...
  14.  
  15. It's actually a pretty good game, give it a shot.  It's pretty difficult to
  16. land the shuttle, however.

  18. Changes in PSI: Rescue Raider [author of Cheat Editor] has joined us, and
  19. his contributions will be very valuable indeed.  PSI hopes to establish
  20. itself as the "authorities" in videogame cheating, and we will continue to
  21. update the Editor regularly in addition to supplying the pirate world with
  22. a stream of new cheats to keep up with new releases.

  24. Also, Malignant Growth is now leading PSI, and our new HQ is Fungus Land in
  25. (206).  Feel free to contact us there.

  27. We are always looking for new software to release; if you can help, contact
  28. us!  However, we are determined to not fade away in light of other productive
  29. groups [keep it up, NYC and THG!]; instead, we will dedicate ourselves to
  30. helping the PC pirate community in other ways [such as cheats, fixes, docs,
  31. pirate tools in addition to cracks].  We're all in this together, and if
  32. we keep plugging we can continually improve the face of PC piracy.
