The DX7II is Yamaha‚Äôs answer to its own immensely successful DX7.  The most successful synthesizer in history, the DX7 put high quality sounds into a user affordable package.  This high quality/low cost combination was made possible by the use of FM synthesis.  The DX7II‚Äôs sounds are produced in the same way, but with 6 operators and 32 algorithms.  The DX7II will play the Original DX7 sounds, as well as the richer, more complex 6 operator sounds.  It has a 16 note polyphonic output and single, dual and split keyboard modes.  With the addition of the cost and quality which made the original DX7 such a great keyboard to the DX7II‚Äôs new features and better sounds, Yamaha may have created another classic.
