Shyness makes one appear discreet and seriously introspective. It also increases one‚Äôs personal privacy and offers pleasures that only solitude can bring. Shy people do not intimidate or hurt others as overbearing, more forceful people may do. Isaac Bashevis Singer, the author, puts it eloquently:
