■────────────────────────[ WIRED 1994 DEMO PARTY ]────────────────────────────■
Howdy! Just back from the party place and got this urge to write down some
of my thoughts about Wired'94. But first of all ...

I think this arrangement had something to do with the fact that there
were 4 intro/demos shown and lot of us didn't know wich was demo and
wich was intro! So they changed it afterwards, shouldn't happen next
time you organize a party like this!

│ 2. Some thoughts & Evaluation │
└─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
*We could say that the party was well organized and had little trouble.
Although there were some problems with the competitions. Some words about
that: 1) If a demo crashes, tant pis for the creators, they have had a change
to test the demo on the compo machine, not ? Or was it the compo
computer breaking down ? Caught some rumors about that ?
2) You should spread the competitions, not all at once, cause it started
to get boring at the end. For example you could set the deadline for
modules & gfx much earlier since most of the freaks already have there
music & gfx ready when they arrive at the party place. In the Wired'94
case you could have settled the music & gfx compo somewhere Sunday
afternoon ? Certainly the music compo started to get VERY boring.
Also raytraced movie compo should have been settled for early Sunday
evening.
3) DOOM compo really could have been better organized. I know it's hard
to organize something like that, I thought about it but still didn't
find an exciting way to organize a doom compo.
Some brainstorming needed :)
* The Party Place was PERFECT! but:
1) showers would be nice!
2) foooooooooooooooooooooooooood! Thanks!
3) I didn't quite understand the working of paying for tables &
getting in [maybe I'm dumb :)]! I think you could just as well
enter without any payment (certainly if you are an individual
visitor), or am I wrong? The same for tables here, you could take
3 tables if you wanted even when you only paid for one!
* Wired'95: If there will be one, I think I'll join again! Maybe I'll be
a bit more productive then :)
* Greetings:
+ Hall9000: Ha! You looked exactly as a stoned dude after 29hrs of
constant coding!
