If you are interested in the demo group Remal, this file will tell
you most of the information you might need. Everything stated in this
file is true, unless it turns out not too be. ;-)
We are mainly interested in making demos, intros and other scene-
related productions, but developing games or other commercial software
is, of course, always possible.
There is something else important to be announced here:
We think that the demo scene, the parties and all this stuff is for
friendship, fun, and are one of your spare-time activities. We don't
develop something to get a huge pile of money at a party. Of course
winning is not too bad, morally... ;-)
By the way, parties almost never show the real scene situation.
Voting has nothing to do with objective decision, it's usually much the
result of momentary impressions.
(The above paragraphs are dedicated to Cyberdancer/Phantom Dezign.
No hard feelings, mate!)

│ 2 - The Past │
· ───────────────────────── · ──────────────═╝
Remal was formed at the beginning of 1994, but none of us remember
the exact date. Three of us have been going to the same class for 4
years, and were trying to start a group, but lack of skill caused
problems of all kinds. We also met Epton Gwedik back in 1993.
At the beginning 5 guys built up the group: Bana, Cimo, Epton
Gwedik, SB and Zed. Then in April 1994 we managed to finish a demo more
or less, that's what became The Spinning Wheel. It featured pieces of
all 5 people's works. We competed at the Hammering party, so that
should be considered our 'release date'.
During the summer of 1994 both coders contributed a 4k-intro to
Assembly'94 and Cimo presented a picture. At the party ATX/MFC agreed,
and we had a distribution site, Experimental Connection, later called
E-Connect. We met Netron in Finland and he joined us as a composer.
After the party Bisounours/Nuage also offered his Dune BBS as distro
site. Epton Gwedik's friend, Illegal joined us later as a composer.
The fall of 1994 was spent presenting nothing, but some projects
started, like a moduleplayer, intro/demo ideas showed up, etc.
At the moment we are working on many projects simoultaneously, which
might be a bad step to take, but time will show.

Our composers have worked, and are still working like mad, so a
musicdisk may get released in the near future.
