  44. ▌ Long long ago... three people wanted to go swimming and after they were    ▐
  45. ▌ nearly drowned they went in a pub.(these guys were Nias,Zeus and Foenyx)   ▐
  46. ▌ After many many Beers (i like these part [|-) we planed to found a group   ▐
  47. ▌ called 'Digital Abacus'.                                                   ▐
  48. ▌ We wanted to write some bullshit like this. Nobody of us had seen a pro-   ▐
  49. ▌ gramming language before.                                                  ▐
  50. ▌ All this happened in early 1994.                                           ▐
  51. ▌ After watching all the great stuff from the Assembly94, they decided to    ▐
  52. ▌ make a demo by it's own. This time, it happened, that they met a painter   ▐
  53. ▌ called Darkman ('til this time working on Amiga - and still doing :)       ▐
  54. ▌ They started programming like mad :) and finally they released a dentro    ▐
  55. ▌ called 'the first' in october...                                           ▐
  56. ▌ With this big success in mind, they heard about the party4 in denmark      ▐
  57. ▌ and wanted to be present there with an own production.                     ▐
  58. ▌ Hand in hand :) with two new musicians (Irga and Leviathan) they worked on ▐
  59. ▌ their first real demo, called 'Stoerfall' - and ended short time before    ▐
  60. ▌ deadline on party4...                                                      ▐
  61. ▌ The demo was nice (for a 'first production' ;) - but buggy. Cause of some  ▐
  62. ▌ difficulties with GUS-base it was'nt shown their, sadly =( but live still  ▐
  63. ▌ went on :)                                                                 ▐
  64. ▌ Two weeks before Nexus (a horrible 'party' in Germany) Nias and Foenyx     ▐
  65. ▌ decided to put together some effects into a small intro - for competition. ▐
  66. ▌ They won the first place there - but cause of no official result-list no   ▐
  67. ▌ one got to know about, sadly =( but live still went on :)                  ▐
  68. ▌ Next target was party5 in denmark, but because of military-service by      ▐
  69. ▌ Foenyx and studies out of hometown by other members they wasn't able to    ▐
  70. ▌ finish the planed demo in time, and just an even smaller squad of ST90     ▐
  71. ▌ came to fredericia. But, for surprise, one guy managed a great pic in time.▐
  72. ▌ Darkman released his 'Ratman' for GFX-compo and made place 39 out of 89 :) ▐
