Comments about the productions entering the finals:
Valhalla - The production was considered to be flashy and speedy and
the production worked perfectly under both DOS and OS/2.
The production also illustrated well the features of OS/2.
Also the syncronization of the music and the effects had
a key role. The demo had a lot of clever ideas.
Comic - The production was peaceful and sophisticated but at the
same time the effects were massive. This production was
considered to have the best code.
Sonic - The production graphics were very well finished and the
music added a lot to the atmosphere of the demo. The jury
was also pleased with the animation included in the demo.
This production had the most beautiful OS/2 logos.
The jury was faced with a difficult task of assessing of the productions.
The overall quality of the productions was considered to be very high and
professional.
About the IBM OS/2 Warp demo competition
----------------------------------------
The OS/2 Warp demo competition was held now for the first time. Because
of the quality of the productions a new competition is planned for 1996.
Although some of these productions work under OS/2 it was not required
and we suggest that you experiment with various OS/2 configurations to
find the best possible settings for running these productions under OS/2
Warp. These productions perform at their best in DOS full screen mode
without other programs running simultaneously in the background.
The organizer of this competition (IBM) wishes to thank all participants.
These productions can be freely distributed as long as no charge is applied
and no modifications to the original archives have been made.
All the copyrights of the participating productions belong to their
respective creators. All right reserved worldwide.
