│ Words of Wisdom └┐
│ =============== └─┐
│ └┐
│ Don't run SS under Windows or anything alike. SS uses the │
│ timer interrupt to facilitate a VBI, so Windows will screw │
│ it up. But I don't have to worry about that, because only ┌┐ ┌┘
│ real morons use Windows... ││ │
│ │└─┘
│ Don't even try to run SS on a slow 386! SS was made for └──┐
│ 486+ computers with local bus VGA, and the music will be └───┐
│ bad for your ears if you have too little processing power. └┐
│ It is highly recommended to destroy all computers with an │
│ 80386 processor when encountered. Perhaps, maybe. That │
│ was a joke. Boing. │
│ ┌────┘
│ Do NOT run SS with MegaEm! MegaEm makes your GUS go ┌┘
│ crazy, it becomes schizophrenic. GUS doesn't know, what │
│ card it is... poor GUS! (In other words, SS may sometimes └───┐
│ crash with MegaEm. I have no idea why, but, on the other └─┐
│ hand, don't even care. So: no MegaEm, please...) │
│ ┌─┘
│ │
│ └┐
│ Is It Slow? ┌─┘
│ =========== │
│ ┌┘
│ If you think SS is too heavy for your computer, you can │
│ try running it without the wobbling background. It looks └┐
│ bad that way, but runs almost two times faster. My goal │
│ was to make the intro run 70 fps on my 486/66, and I │
│ succeeded in it. Then I added the background, which slowed ┌┘
│ down everything, but gave a significant design-boost. │
│ ┌─┘

│ A Frequently Asked Question │
│ =========================== │
│ └┐
│ Q: What does Fit stand for? (=What does it mean?) │
│ A: Fit is nothing but a syntax error. It means │
│ nothing. Just three letters. A name! └┐

│ I Did Some Work Here │
│ ==================== │
│ └┐
│ Although it would be "cool" to underestimate the effort │
│ of making the intro, I don't do that. I spent several │
│ weeks with this project, and I'm very disappointed, if └┐
│ I don't do well in the competition. Anyhow, thanks for │
│ getting familiar with my work! │
