an intro by Sour Milkk
This is the very first production by a new international demo group
called Sour Milkk. We specialize in making high-quality real-time graphic
demos. Some day we hope to raise enough money for all of us to attend
Assembly '96. Until then, we will be creating more intros and demos for all
to see.
System Requirements
-------------------
This intro requires a 386+ and a standard VGA card and monitor. A fast
486 or Pentium and a Sound Blaster is strongly recommended.
About 400 kbytes of free conventional memory is needed to run the intro,
and nether XMS or EMS is used.
I tested RAID on several system configurations of 386sx, 386dx, i486sx,
i486dx, 486dlc, and Pentium processors. All had at least 1 meg RAM, some
had a Sound Blaster card. No problems were found, but you still run this
program at your own risk and can in no way blame Sour Milkk or any of it's
members responsible for any damages or unwanted performance of your computer.
If RAID does freeze your computer, pressing escape should terminate it
immediately because the terminate command is resident on the keyboard
interrupt.
About RAID
----------
RAID itself took less than a week to put together, but all of it's
contents I have been working on for the past several months. My pride and
joy of this intro is the real-time ray-traced fractal landscape fly through.
It took the past 3 months and a lot of complex calculas to code the fly
through at an average of 7 FPS on my 486sx33 (I never knew that derivatives
would come in handy :) I am going to make a game out of it someday, maybe a
jet fighter game or something to make a little money.
