───────────────────
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
───────────────────
For running NONAME00 you need:
- A register compatible VGA display adapter
- 386SX or better processor
- 512 Kb of free conventional memory
- 1 Mb of free XMS memory
- DOS 5.0 or newer
But if you would like to see NONAME00 as it's supposed to be,
you need:
- A fast 486 (486SX/25 with VLB is quite OK)
- A fast display adapter (preferably VLB)
- A SoundBlaster, GUS or some compatible soundcard, is needed to
hear some great tunes... :)
────────────────
RUNNING NONAME00
────────────────
Just start NONAME00 by typing NONAME00.EXE at the DOS prompt...
────────────
DOS EXTENDER
────────────
Because this demo uses our own extender system, which requires
that the V86 mode isn't on when running NONAME00, you can't use
EMM386, QEMM or similar memory managers. But because NONAME00
needs 1 Mb of free XMS memory, HIMEM.SYS has to be present. Not
a very hard job to make a boot like this, is it?
────────────
SOUND SYSTEM
────────────
The sound system used is a slightly modified versio of Midas
Sound System 0.40 revision A, made by Petteri Kangaslampi
(Alfred/Sahara Surfers) and Jarno Paananen (Guru/Sahara
Surfers). Thanks a lot guys! Midas is just getting better all
the time... Keep up the good work!
─────────
GREETINGS
─────────
"Group" greetings can be read from the demo itself, but let's
write them also here just for fun:
AMORPHOUS
COBRA CREATIONS
NORDIC VISION
SAHARA SURFERS
BREADFAN's personal greetings:
Sentinel / Nordic Vision
Dire Sire / Desirable Dreams
Ald0 / The Dune BBS
Soda Can
Fuehrer (Pectus)
Nomad
Taawi
P.P.
Mindprobe, for organizing a party.
iD Software for inventing Doom, the best
computer game available.
Parallax Software, for Descent.
All scene people who keep the spirit alive.
JUFFO-WUP's personal greetings:
Alpha / Incredible
Puhelin / C00l Productions
Halley / Vortex
Zetor / Vortex
All users of my board (well, almost)
The inventor of the debugger
The organizers of Abduction '95 for creating a
party with the original scene spirit, without
too much commercialization. I have nothing
against companies sponsoring parties, that
increases the prize money and allows more
freedom for organizers, but at least one group
in Finland is definitely overdoing it.
Fuckings go to iD Software for creating Doom and
to Parallax Software for creating Descent, the
games which took the most of our graphician's
time, making him unable to do anything useful.
KALU's personal greetings:
KiNGi
MacTumi
Dire Sire / Desirable Dreams
All not-so-good-but-not-so-bad musicians...
LÖKÖ's personal greetings:
Dire Sire / Desirable Dreams
KiNGi
MacTumi
Inventor of sauna.
Inventor of beer.
Kalle, for puking/boozing and for being funny
2 days before Abduction.
Fuckings go to Parallax Software for being so
damn good, and all the people recycling their
code and objects, and stealing ideas...
U know, who U R?
Also shit-hellos to creators of BBBS, for
creating a hard-to-use-but-powerful system...
And to Microsoft for creating too big, and still
lousy, programs...
PEKKIS' personal greetings:
Äiti
Hande
Panu
Sepi
Lintu
And to all other "wise" guyz... :)
UNSIGNED's personal greetings:
MayDay / Amorphous
Jachain / Amorphous
Sentinel / Nordic Vision
Wihannes / Nordic Vision
Guardian / Cobra Creations
IssAle / MegaStar
